Early start this morning attending the Business NSW Economic Breakfast as a Regional Leader representing the Central Coast.

The keynote address from Jim Chalmers, Treasurer of Australia. Gaining insights into Australia’s economic future and what it means for businesses like ours. Alarming to hear some statistics also and % of how businesses are performing.

Grateful for the opportunity to be part of these important conversations and to bring those insights back to our local business community.

“Expectation vs Reality”

Expectation: Property managers spend their days relaxing on the lounge waiting for the phone to ring.

Reality: The phone rings while we’re on another call, replying to emails, coordinating maintenance, processing applications and organising inspections. 😂

Thank you to our landlords, tenants and trades for your patience while we juggle all the moving pieces that come with managing investment properties across the Central Coast.

It’s been wonderfully busy, and we’re grateful for every landlord and tenant who trusts us with their home. We love looking after you all. ❤️

Our team was honoured to attend the 2026 Red Shield Appeal Launch this week and support the amazing work of The Salvation Army.

We knew they did great things, but we had no idea of the extent that they do to support our local community. They assist so many ways.

The programs & initiatives that they run require our generous support & it was a great start to their fundraising campaign!

They even have a young drivers program to help young adults get their hours up and provide this free to those that simply cannot afford it.

It gives them confidence, independence and the ability to achieve something they probably never would have on their own.

We heard from those that receive help in an emotional story of how if it wasn’t for the Salvos probably wouldn’t be here today!

We also were lucky to hear from a cricket legend, the former Australian Girls Cricket Captain. And we loved having a photo with their mascot Shieldy too!

Congratulations to Mingara Recreation Club on receiving the prestigious “Others Award” in recognition of more than 20 years of supporting the Central Coast community.

A wonderful reminder of the power of community and the difference we can make when we come together. ❤️

WELCOME TO OUR TEAM ELISE

Elise joined The Leasing Network earlier this year, initially working behind the scenes supporting the team, and has now officially come on board permanently.

Elise conducts our open homes, assists in our application process and specialises in completing detailed ingoing condition reports for owners, ensuring every property is thoroughly documented and all bases are covered from the very beginning.

Elise also conducts routine inspections and enjoys building positive relationships with tenants through clear communication and a friendly, approachable nature.

She is passionate about helping create a smooth and professional experience for both owners and tenants alike.

Outside of work, Elise operates two successful small businesses and enjoys watching her children’s sports or enjoying a meal out with her partner.

The NSW Government is considering the introduction of Minimum Energy Efficiency Rental Standards (MEERs) for rental properties.

These proposed changes could have significant impacts on landlords, property managers and the broader rental market, including additional costs, compliance requirements and administrative obligations.

REINSW is actively advocating on behalf of members and will be lodging a formal submission to the Government. However, decision-makers must hear directly from those investors that could be impacted. Because it’s all abit too late to complain once the standards are introduced!

We encourage landlords to have their say before the consultation closes. If you would prefer not to complete the survey we recommend you email your input through so that your voice is heard.
