Australia’s first ever political band with political lyrics and political meaning behind their political songs (at the expense of success and several super best friendships), SUDS has been quiet in recent years, somewhat losing their niche in a world where political views and political bands are everywhere. But the ranty old trio are coming out of semi-retirement for Dansonfest 2026, to show today’s audiences what political music sounded like back before it was cool for bands to share their insufferable political opinions in song-form. 📸: prdr

WOLFPACK are a Melbourne DIY thrash punk band with a strong not-for-profit ethos, having raised over $77,000 for charity. Known for their high-energy live shows: blistering vocals, heavy riffs and relentless rhythms … they’ve toured across Australia, Europe, NZ, Asia and the US alongside legends like Suicidal Tendencies, The Descendents, The Misfits, Pennywise, Lagwagon, D.R.I. and Subhumans. Catch Wolfpack bringing the chaos to Dansonfest 2026.

DAD HABITS are a 5-piece punk rock covers band from Ulladulla, NSW, active since around 2022. They focus on high-energy renditions of 90s and 00s punk and skate-punk staples, playing songs from bands like NOFX, Lagwagon, No Use for a Name, Bad Religion, Strung Out, and similar acts. We welcome them to Dansonfest 2026, and are very much looking forward to singing along to a few belters with them when the party is in full swing.

A staple of Sydney’s music scene for many years, is celebrated for their "sad cowboy punk" and "piano punk" stylings. With songs driven by robust storytelling, focusing on personal resilience, mental health, and community. Ess-Em is highly active in the local pub and live music circuit, They also frequently share the stage with other Australian punk and ska acts, touring both regionally and up the East Coast. They brought the house down at Dansonfest 2025, and so we cannot wait to see them light up the room once again.
