Sammy Marceddo - Music

This year is going to be different! I am going to conquer a massive fear of mine which is posting my voice online. Singing & music are my passion, and yet I have always lived in fear of sharing it. I think this is because singing is such an intimate expression of one’s self. I think part of me has always worried that sharing my voice might take away some of its magic. For me singing has served more than just a sound my body makes, it’s the place I go when I need reprieve, it’s the thing that alleviates my stress and it’s the only place where I can feel completely myself. Up until recently, singing was mine and mine only. But with the encouragement of a few special people in my life, I have started sharing this gift. On the outside people generally consider me a confident person. While I may come across this way, I have struggled my whole life with body image issues, so much so, as a teenager I would avoid looking in mirrors because I couldn’t stand to look at myself. I would never film myself singing because I hated looking at myself on camera. To this day, I still have troubles seeing myself in photographs. This is something I am working to change. So here I am, sharing my voice. I sing because I love it, I sing because it comes from my soul and I sing because quite frankly it was something I was born to do. Singing is magic for me and I’d be lost without it 🎤🎶
