PEACH (Prunus persica), a species of fruit trees of the rose family, belonging to the same genus as plum, cherry, and apricot (sometimes separated into an independent genus Persica). Originally from China, but got to Europe through Persia (Iran), where there were magnificent peach orchards, from where it got its name.

It was assumed that tomatoes were brought to Europe by Columbus in 1493 through Western India. Tomatoes were first cultivated in Europe in the 50-60s of the 16th century. At the end of the 16th century, tomatoes were called "apples of love" in France, England, Belgium, Germany, Italy, Spain, and Portugal.

In ancient Rome, it was believed that once drops of sweat rolled down from the head of the god Jupiter to the ground - this is how cabbage appeared. And the name "cabbage" refers us to the ancient Roman word "caputum" - the head, which reminds not only of the legend, but also of the shape of the head of cabbage
