After yesterday’s racing, I couldn’t resist asking if there was any chance I could race at the Queensland State Titles at Bayside Radio Control Car Club A huge thank you to the club and organisers for giving me a spot on the grid – I really appreciate the opportunity.

Looking forward to seeing everyone next week!

I also want to say thank you to everyone who made me feel so welcome yesterday. The support and help I received in the pits was incredible. There were people helping me that I had never even met before, which says a lot about the RC community.

A special thank you to Lachlan Pearson and his dad for all their help, advice, and patience throughout the day. It was greatly appreciated.

I do not get to drive onroad often so if there is a race and we have nothing else on then we go.

What a weekend!!!

Saturday we raced at Valley Raceway in the Sunshine coast for the final round of their points series. As a family we enjoyed a weekend full of racing and thank you to my Wife Alicia Schutte Venter for supporting us in chasing our dream!!!! We love you❤️❤️

The day started off well and I had very good qualifiers

Getting a 5th on the grid in EP-Buggy. Had very good pace in all the A finals but just some lacking some consistency but ended up with a 6th overall.

Nitro buggy hurt the most as this is the best my car has ever felt and my qualifying results showed getting me into 3rd on the grid with some fast guys in the field, Unfortunately when I wanted to start my car for the final I smelled electronics burning and at first thought it was my receiver but after some further investigation I felt the throttle servo was very hot and yeah it burned,not sure why as its still new so yeah that was it for me.

Jayden got off to a shaky start in EP Truggy and started on the back of the grid. But he went well in the mains and secured a 3rd. ( Club made a mistake on the entry list but racing already started before we were able to change his name to Jayden).

Overall a very good day of 1/8 racing!!!

Then we went to a BBQ and got home around mid night. I let the boys sleep in and went to setup pits at Chargers RC for Round 5 of their members series.

Well today we went in with a completely different mindset as we wanted to work on Jaydens race graft and walk away at the end of the day happy and without fellow racers being upset.

Jayden stepped up and he delivered his racing was clean and a pleasure to watch clean hard racing the whole day.

Jayden dis maybe not score his best results today and PB,s but he gathered experience and knowledge.

He qualified 4th in 2wd stock and after good hard racing walked away with a 6th overall.

In 4wd stock he qualified on the 9th spot in the A Main and this is a hectic class very very close. And he drove his 4wd the best he ever did and came away with a 7th.

Kian also got his best result in the very packed and crazy Junior class.He is improving every event.

I went well and qualified 4th in the A-Main with a 3rd overall. Not to bad as I just race this because jayden does not want me to just sit and work on their cars so Im running his old stock can with some Boost and Timing hahaha.

All packed and ready for some 1/8 racing tomorrow then we come home and repack for 1/10 on sunday. Full weekend of racing!!
