I actually have a preference for bass when it comes to the type of guitar I want to play for music, purely because I have quite an affinity towards basslines and rhythm when making music. However, using a normal guitar still trumps for making music translate well to other mediums and settings, even over piano in my opinion.
I suck at guitar and I know it, so enjoy as I post my bad guitar playing while exploring musical ideas you might like better than me.
