Psychology for transitions at work & life

I promised myself that I would walk out of lockdown in a better position than when it started, so I set some major goals:
One was facing the fear of putting myself out there and using my talents for the service of others. Having over 18 years of experience sounds funny to say it right! but as humans, fear of success is more common than we think! Whether we admit it openly or say it only to ourselves.
How did I face the fear? Well, upon waking up I asked: Fabi how are you going to show up for yourself today? The answer varied. Some days it was skipping a social zoom or limiting my open-air social hangouts; reducing my bicycle rides and doing yoga at home instead, turning the phone off until getting the work done, and other times the answer was connecting with supportive friends and family, or simply to rest, have a bath and disconnect fully from some people and the rest of world.
Showing up means I am officially launching my website just now! See link in bio. Precisely on freedom day aka end of lockdown (for some).
I am aware this transition is not easy for everyone. Some are suffering from re-entry anxiety, and others are still waiting for available well-being options. I am here to help, have a look at my website, share it with those who need it, follow Instagram.
NOW... How am I going to show up for myself today?

Claiming owr power can be scary. This is because most times power is not familiar to us. Why? because power is not given to us, we need to claim it.
But we are wired and educated to look after, find, and stay in what gives us comfort, and whatever is perceived familiar does this trick. From falling for distant partners when coming from neglecting parents, or overworking ourselves to the point of relinquishing our health to our abusive workloads, examples of what is familiar -and not always healthy- are endless.
Use fear to reclaim your power, after all, fear is the emotion that reminds us, that we are full of life. Fear tells us that we are here to do something big at our scale.
Even if reclaiming our power means letting go of that toxic relationship, or saying no to those extra hrs at work, let us permit ourselves to step right into it.

We can not deny our very own mammal nature and our instinctive response to pain and self-preservation.
This comes of especial importance when having fights in and with those with whom we have a close relationship(s). Discussions can heat up to a point where we perceive we have been hurt by the other(s).
Then, our brain activates the nerves and releases the chemicals relevant to pain. Meaning that despite the fact we did not physically get hurt, we still feel discomfort.
When feeling hurt, mostly everything our partner(s) do(es) is perceived as painful because we are highly sensitive. Simple text messages or daily routine requests have the potential to be seen through the lenses of ravage, therefore interpreted as possible further aggression from either side(s).
This perception is the very message of looking for a safe space and distancing ourselves from the source of discomfort so we self-preserve ourselves as much as we can.
When having the room and chance to hold up space and be away from our partner(s), do so understanding that this is a very call from nature asking you all to heal individually and separately.
Perhaps you meet back again once you have healed, perhaps you do not. In either case, respecting, following and acknowledging this very mammal essence is a healing gift we all naturally deserve.

The world may be designed for women to work more than men, doubt ourselves and our capacity to take firm, ethical and wise decisions. Despite this may be exhausting, always remember that re-claiming your power is and always be a revolutionary act. .

On times when uncertainty is left, right and centre, you want to assure that any solutions you implement are warranting results. Research-based coaching delivers exactly this.
It goes beyond the typical 'what has worked for me', but it rather focuses on how your brain and behaviour works so you unleash your power to succeed.

Your brain is wired to follow what you tell it to do and despite it is also wired to make you feel safe, with good coaching and strong mindset you can achieve what you could’ve never imagined before. Even, switching your relationship with fear.
This is me facing a paralysing fear a bike accident left me behind. I started at 20 kms rides on May the 20th. I daily said I could do a 100 kms ride training in 100 days, so my body followed.

There is magic in being flexible and open to knowing other cultures. It expands your understanding of the world and helps you see that there are as many realities as stars in the universe. This ultimately will improve your relationships with the world.

Setting limits on how we want to be treated and how we want our relationships to be, is a practice of brave self-love.
The more indifferent, apathetic or angrier the receiver responds to limits, the more it indicates this person is losing benefits from you setting them. After all no one wants to loose.
Whether you set limits to family members, friends, coworkers or partners, be strong and don’t let guilt sink in. Remember these responses are very good indicators that you are on the right path.

Think big, use the system better and stretch it further. It will take the same amount of energy than feeling non-deserving so you may as well play it to your advantage. .
