When The Week Starts Before Monday. It’s Sunday night. The kids are in bed, you’re flicking through Netflix trying to decide what series to start next, and attempting to think about absolutely nothing important.

Some people have elaborate wellness routines.

I made a smiley face on my coffee this morning and felt oddly pleased with myself.

Posted this morning and it's already hitting a nerve. If you've ever said yes to something and wondered why it felt harder to say no than it should have, this one is worth a read.

Is It Really People Pleasing? You get asked to stay across the file personally because "it will just be easier with you involved." You know someone in your team could manage it perfectly well, but you say yes anyway and brace yourself for the extra calls and emails.

After Saturday morning sport, there’s a very specific window where everyone’s starving and no one has the patience to figure something out at home.

That’s when somewhere like works.

Good coffee, proper feeds, and burgers that are just old school, real ingredients, no fuss.

Johnny’s also great with gluten free without making it a whole production, which makes it an easy option when you just need something straightforward.

It works. Things move. Nothing falls over.
But at some point, another request comes in and your reaction is sharper than it should be.

That usually gets put down to stress or a bad day.

I came home to slime hanging from the ceiling.
I was pretty clear when I banned it from the house, and yet here we are.

At this point I don’t even ask how anymore.

Also, if anyone has tips on how to get this off without stripping the paint, I’m listening.

The first time you caught something no one else noticed, it was just good judgment.

After a few repeats it became expected. Not formally.

Just enough that certain work started coming your way, and nobody needed to say why.

That's how the loop starts. Not with a decision.

Just with being good at what you do.
