In just a few days, we’ll be hitting the road for Sh*tbox Rally in our 1986 Nissan Ute - packed with snacks, spares and a sense of adventure.
We’re fundraising for cancer research and we’re a little more than $500 away from our personal goal of raising $10,000. If you’ve been thinking about donating, now’s the time to jump on board.

Radiator drained, flushed and rinsed, some pretty dirt water came out of that. We’ve been running the car for a few weeks now with out any major issues. Had the cooling system pressure tested last week with a clean bill of health. One more job ticked off

📍 If multiple people choose the same distance, we’ll subtract 1km from the later guess to keep things fair.

So we knew there was a hole in the floor of our "Sh*tbox"… but after a bit of poking around, turns out it wasn’t just a hole — it was a full-on Flintstones-style ventilation system. 🦶💨

At one point, I thought we might have to start braking with our feet like Fred himself.

BUT… crisis averted. It’s been patched, covered, and officially no longer exists.

Hole in the floor? What hole in the floor? 😌

And we're going again, nothing a bit of carby cleaner and more fuel couldn't fix. You think I would have learned to not run a car low on fuel Tony Rudd

Took the car to the football for it's first real outing last night, great down the hill and on the flat, didn't like the hills so much and gave up, coughing and spluttering to a stop once we reached the top. Only a short walk home fortunately, fuel related I think so off to see if we can get it going again. 🤞

It’s been a couple of busy months since we were first accepted into the Sh*tbox Rally winter 2026. We’ve set up our fundraising page; held a Pizza fundraiser; found, collected and registered ourselves a sh*tbox; added several sponsors and reached the minimum $5,000 fundraising target.
