Precious Paws Rescue-Para Vista

Clara went for a check-up this week to see how her health is and how her Calicivirus was going. After having two full doses of anti viral medication and a dose of antibiotics.

She has improved considerably, and our vet is happy with her progress . She has been placed on another dose of doxy ( antibiotics) when she goes for another check-up.

Our vet has mentioned she may never be rid of the viris yet. If not, she can still live a full, loving life.

Hope is part of a large colony in Mansfield. She is the sweetest 3 year old street tabby we have ever encountered.

We knew we needed to save her from living her dangerous life on the streets any longer.

Hope was caught, and taken to the vets, Hope was found to have,
🔆grade 3 heart murmur
🔆a broken jaw from an old injury of being hit by a car
🔆At some stage of her life, her leg has been broken and held wrongly 💔 😢
🔆full of fleas and ear mites
🔆 worms were protruding from her bottom

🫶👀Remember she is only 3 years old and already suffered so much despair, anguish and pain living a life as a forgotten street cat 🐈 which we can only imagine how painful the broken jaw was and the strength and fight she showed to survive.

100% confirmed by AWL there are no current reported /presenting cases in the areas she states.

Nor have we at precious paws rescue ever had parvo, or panleuk. We know what precautions to take - I’ve personally been doing this for more than four years. WE KNOW INFECTION CONTROL AND, OUR COLONIES VERY WELL.

These types of messages (when necessary to prevent spread and to save lives) could be passed on in a more respectful and professional way, yet as usual gloria lindenbauer loves to publicly belittle, denigrate and slander the individual volunteers without any facts. Despite the fact she doesn’t even know me!! We haven’t engaged in more than two years online but she has been defaming and slandering me and my rescue for several years now and I’ve not responded once but I’ve now reached my limit. She’s not stopping. This is just the most recent attack and accusation like it’s a fact. It’s a strong allegation and one that I will not tolerate.

For someone who runs a rescue Lucky Little Paws. THIS TYPE OF BEHAVIOUR IS NOT ACCEPTABLE. Worse than high school level bitchiness. Yet she keeps getting away with it. I’ll be publicly calling out any future defamation of character, and slander and then seeking legal action. You’re on notice Gloria.

FOCUS YOUR ENERGIES ON HELPING CATS. This conduct is everything that is wrong in the cat rescue community and needs to be called out and stamped out. So, YOU STOP. I’ll continue to help cats cos that’s what we’re in this for. Not this toxic crap. I / we have zero time and energy for. Rescue is damn hard enough and I’m working my damn butt off. Boots on the ground every single day and night. And to cop this from you is not only completely false, it is highly offensive.

We have three cats needing urgent vet care. Without your help, we simply can not afford it. With the end of the financial year approaching, please remember that donations can be claimed and reduce your taxable income! Those three cats are as follows-

1) you’ll have seen beautiful Hope on our page in the last few days. She’s been through a lot with a broken / displaced jaw, heart murmur grade 3-4, and low heart rate so she could not be desexed yet. She needs a full blood profile to assess her full health before Desexing and finding her forever home.

2) Clara was rescued around a year ago, barely clinging to life. She’s been diagnosed with kalisi virus and herpes- had huge mouth ulcers and only has one tooth.. With ongoing upper respiratory breathing issues , we assessed her quality of life and her health status after completing anti viral meds x 2 rounds. All is going well. We hope she can finally be well enough to get desexed and find her forever home.

3) Timmy was the runt of his litter living In very poor and dangerous conditions - he is still so tiny now at 2.5 years of age. (His sibling died of kalisi virus not long after birth) but he is now safe indoors… he has had chronic cat flu symptoms on and off his entire life, and upper respiratory symptoms are constant. He’s had multiple rounds of antibiotics, bisolvin, telfast, etc

With sudden weight loss, increased fatigue and thirst, we’re concerned that his chronic flu has mutated into FIP. Therefore he needs CBC and haematology bloods to assess his albumin and globulin levels which are the key markers for FIP. If caught early we can potentially save his life. This is a horrific disease to die from. Timmy deserves a full life with his people.
