I've been pretty slack with the updates lately (must be busy or something!) so I thought I best do a quick write up to bring everyone up to speed.

Adelaide Dirt Kart Club - Mini Jam
Saturday 5th September
Erin raced in 125 Light's but didn't have fantastic speed like she did at Lucindale but she still finished 7th in the final and got her last probationary sign off.

Loxton Kart Club, Sunday 6th September
Erin raced in KT Light's and KT Medium's
All day we struggled for pace in both classes. When you're off the pace you tend to get caught up in things you normally wouldn't so Erin DNF'd in a few races too.
Definitely not a great lead in meeting for Aussie Titles for us, but we'll go through the karts and hope for some better luck at the big dance in a couple of weeks. KTL 11th, KTM 10th

Adelaide Dirt Kart Club - Mick Bright Memorial
Saturday 19th September
Seano was back! After a 3 1/2 month hiatus the big fella decided to have another run in the twin and he only needed a couple of laps to be back on the pace. It was only a small field but he drove very well on a very wet track with knackered tyres to finish on the podium in 🥈.
Erin had an up and down day in 125 Light's. Her pace was excellent on a dry track but terrible when it was wet. She also had a close call when a race start didn't go green until very late and those ahead of her slowed then went again. She was hit from behind and rode the back of the kart in front before being hit from both sides! She carried on and finished that race because her safety gear did its job and that could have hurt a lot more than it did. Finish > 8th in the final

29th and 30th August 2026
Massive weekend down at Lucindale Karting Club! Saturday was their round of the 125 X Series followed by a short format they named "Fast 40" on the Sunday. This meant Erin could debut in 125 Light's and try to get 2 out of 3 signatures in her log book which made the trip down there a bit more of an option. (That plus we like the track and the people too 😉)
Happy to report she was on the pace in the 125 from lap 1 and completed all 18 races in both the 125 Light and the KT Light classes.
On Saturday Erin drove the KT to the top spot overall and went forward in every 125 race finishing a respectable 5th in the final having started at the rear.
Then on Sunday she backed it up with a solid 2nd in the KT followed by her first 125 podium finishing 3rd.
Erin hadn't raced 2 classes in 1 meeting before, let alone 2 classes 2 days in a row so it was a great experience for her even though she was definitely feeling it yesterday!
Huge thanks to everyone at Lucindale Karting Club for their hard work and hospitality. It's not easy putting race days on and even more so to back that up with a second day/event, but you all did an awesome job 👌and it's always fun catching up with some of our favourite dirt kart people down there too. Hopefully we'll make it back for the Limestone Coast 2 Dayer 🤞

Next stop, Adelaide Dirt Kart Club this Saturday followed by some Australian Titles practice and preparation at Loxton Kart Club on Sunday. It's another busy week in the shed and on the road but hey, that's just what we do! See you all soon 👊
