We were thrilled to spend part of our last two rehearsals in workshops with the wonderful Rosie Hosking, who led us through a whirlwind tour of all things vocal health, efficiency, and hygiene! We’re grateful for Rosie’s generosity of advice, time, and expertise. She’s an absolute goldmine of technical info, and we’re so lucky to have someone like her in Adelaide.

We’ve already been putting Rosie’s tips into action in our repertoire, and we hope you’ll hear the difference!

Many of us Grads sang in AUCS: Adelaide University Choral Society for many years (and one of us still sings in both choirs)! If you know any young people who want to sing with a fun, friendly group of peers, tell them AUCS is the perfect environment to develop a love of ensemble singing, encounter beautiful music, and meet new people starting out their university journeys 🐧🎶

Our first rehearsal of the year will be the Meet & Greet Rehearsal. Come join us for a casual, low-stakes singalong (+ free pizza!) to catch up with your fellow AUCs and say hello to everyone who's just joining for the first time!

📅 Tuesday 3rd of March
🕖 7pm - 8:30pm
📍 Hartley 108a Room, Hartley Building
Join us at the end for free pizza 🍕

We’re delighted to welcome Rosie Hosking to our rehearsal room next week! Rosie is widely recognised as one of Adelaide’s foremost experts on vocal health and technique, and we’re thrilled to have her expertise guide us through a series of workshops.

We’re committed to choral excellence, and excited to learn from the best in the biz!

We’re delighted to commence our year of musical connections in a combined service with the Choir of St Peter's Cathedral, Adelaide!

Join us for a service of Candlemas carols at 6pm on Sunday 1 February. Candlemas celebrates the presentation of Jesus Christ at the Temple in Jerusalem. This is a beautiful, atmospheric service, with a candle-lit procession, a blessing of the candles to be used in worship in the year ahead, and stunning music by Thomas Tallis, Hans Leo Hassler, Oliver Tarney, Kenneth Leighton, Simon Preston, Herbert Howells, and more.

Service attendance is free of charge. You may wish to make a free-will offering at the appropriate point in the service, to support the Cathedral’s costs.

Back in September 2025, we were delighted to have James Field along to a dress rehearsal. Here are some of the images he captured - we absolutely love his artistry. The final photo is definitely a candidate for a caption competition...

“[Grads] are an impressive outfit. They sing beautifully, they tackle diverse repertoire, they have a large and loyal following (understandably), and they are dramatic in their delivery... a vocal celebration of joy, a celebration of the human voice, and an affirmation of all that is virtuous with humanity.”

Wow! We’re absolutely thrilled with this glowing feedback from The Barefoot Review. What a way to end the year!
