Creating a living space that is both functional and aesthetically pleasing became a normal part of my life from a young age. Chapter II – getting through the education. At 17 years old, I moved to Vienna, Austria, to pursue my education, having just finished
high school and without strong German language skills. The first two years of my new life
were spent studying fashion design and working as a runway model, earning money through alteration tailoring while learning German. After graduating from fashion college, I found myself seeking something bigger than just creating clothing or modeling, something that offered more responsibility and scale. By chance, I decided to study architecture & design at the Vienna University of Technology. It was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made! Being an architect means being both an artist and a technician, with equal importance placed on both aspects. That balance perfectly reflects who I am as a person. Chapter III – becoming a professional. My career began during my final years of education. By chance, while searching for a job, I submitted an ad to the Chamber of Architecture. Shortly after, I received an offer from one
of the largest construction companies in Austria, which changed my life. I started as a technical draftsman and then became an architect, working in theinternational division on projects in Azerbaijan, Malaysia, and Kazakhstan. For a young person, it was an incredible opportunity, not just to grow professionally, but also to see the world. Before I turned 30, I was leading a technical team on site, managing over 15 architects,
civil engineers, and building technicians. You might wonder how that was possible. It wouldn’t be accurate to say that a young, blonde, attractive woman had an easy time
in a male-dominated field. However, hard work can break the mold, and I am a true example of that. Chapter IV – being a top manager. Years of experience leading engineering teams brought me to the second major chapter of my life. Over time, I realized that managing EPC projects from the design stage through construction, equipping and commissioning was my true passion. This led me to pursue additional education in management, finance, and administration, which I successfully completed. With that foundation, I became an overall project manager with both technical and financial responsibilities. I am incredibly grateful for the international projects I’ve been involved in. Managing projects in Africa, Uzbekistan, Trinidad & Tobago, Ukraine, and even spending three years in Iran taught me about the unique mentalities, standards, and tastes of different cultures, making me a truly cosmopolitan person.
