This year asked a lot of me.
I worked, I showed up, I kept going.
But somewhere between deadlines and long days,
I found quiet pockets to create just for myself.
Those moments mattered.
They reminded me why I started,
why my hands still want to make,
why art feels like home.
Work shaped the year,
but creation shaped me.

Cover reveal time! ✨
Here’s the front of The Light Inside Me, a book I’ve been quietly painting for months.
This one is full of soft light, little moments, and all the gentle magic I love putting into my illustrations.

“Oh dear… my button!” 🪡🐭
Poor Reginald just realized he’s lost one of his precious coat buttons — today’s prompt: Button

“Bear”
For a moment, Reginald forgot to breathe.
The bear was enormous — a mountain of fur and calm.
Yet somehow, he didn’t feel small. 🐻✨

“Paper”
Reginald nearly spilled his tea.
“Spider Hosts Suspicious Tea Party,”
the headline read.
He hadn’t told anyone.
But somehow, the paper already knew.

“The Web”
Old Reginald liked to believe he’d seen everything.
But when the Spider invited him for tea on his web,
he wasn’t so sure anymore.
The tea was fine, the company civil —
but all Reginald could think of
was how very far below the forest floor seemed to be.

Sharing my last sneak peek before publishing! 🌿✨
I’m so excited for this upcoming children’s book — it’s such a special project close to my heart. The Light Inside Me is a gentle affirmation story that helps little ones feel safe, loved, and confident in who they are. 💛
As an illustrator and a mom, it means so much to create something I’ll soon be able to read to my own children — a book that reminds them (and all of us) that the light we carry inside never goes out. 🌙

Peachtober day 1: Acorn 🌰
Starting this month with an old piece—painted a while back, but it fits perfectly for the first prompt.
The plan: sketch and paint every single day for Peachtober. Daily challenges are rough, but that’s the point—showing up, pushing through, and letting ideas grow (like an acorn into an oak, you know?).
Let’s see how long I can keep the streak alive.
Are you joining too?

✨ In his mushroom house, Reginald has been leafing through old photos…
A young mouse full of wonder.
A rainy voyage shared with a friend.
An elder looking back with quiet wisdom.
And as I look at these notes of his, I find myself going through my own old photos too — from the time I traveled the world, to the day I got married, and now the tiny photos of our babies.
Perhaps that’s what memories are for… to remind us how far we’ve come, and how precious the small moments truly are. 🌧️📜🐭🍄
Do you find yourself looking back at old photos too??:)

Oh Reginald, you’re the bravest!
He climbed to the highest hill, clutching his dandelion stem.
Like the time I went skydiving—terrified but exhilarated—he leapt into the wind and discovered the world looks entirely different from up there. 🌬️✨
