This is a pondless stream we completed at the end of June 2025 In the township of Margaret River.
It is close to 5m in length, cycling around 400L of water through the stream. These images were taken directly after completion. In this case the client has chosen to add plants at their own leisure. I look forward to sharing more photos once the soft landscaping is complete. With plants the pondless waterfall system really comes to life and looks like it has been there forever.

The tree planting begins 😁, this is the first 75 of thousands of trees we will plant on our property. Here we are creating a 5acre micro climate zone with wind breaks surrounding the area. This will allow us to set up our orchard and market gardens in a well protected (it gets windy here) space. We planted acacia and casuarinas spaced 2m apart in 3 rows. We are looking forward to supporting them with love and watching them grow. Thanks to Stu from Vilca regenerative design for the inspiration, design and hard work. 🤗🙏🌞

I have been noticing large populations of these two species of Acacia Flinders Range Wattle (A. itephylla) and Sydney Golden Wattle (A. longifolia) throughout the urban and semi rural areas of Margaret River.

It has been advised by natural resource management organisations and AMRS to remove these as they are declared as noxious weeds for their invasiveness and threat to local biodiversity. However, I understand that this can be a daunting task and why it is not not easy to make a priority, so I hope to assist with that.

During the month of July 2020 I am offering affordable solutions to eradicate declared woody weeds from the urban and semi-rural zones around Margaret River and convert this biomass into smaller pieces ready to compost and recycle ♻️ into healthy rich soil. It is my best interest to work with people that wish to keep this valuable resource on their own property. Although, If anyone prefers it to be removed off site it can gladly go towards building a healthy soil elsewhere.

I can fall small to medium woody weeds and treat the stump and remove so not to grow back. Then i can mulch most of the branches up to 80mm including the rich nitrogenous leafy material followed by options for composting and/or integrating into your garden or food production area. Following the material being mulched I can either leave you with the mulch pile or help with the consecutive steps to turn this into rich soil. There are many options for how this can be done and will depend on each individual context or requirement.

The seeds of the Acacias can last for up to 10 years in the soil with a mature tree releasing thousands of viable seed into the environ ent. A good time to tackle these guys is ASAP as they are now beginning to flower and will be ready to seed from August.

Please, get in touch if you are interested in the July program or have any queries.

Regards,
Stuart
