💞 HAPPINESS 💞

Happiness is not always in reach these days. Fatigue or despair might be more easy most times, but creating a little pocket of happiness is also possible.

For me, it's in putting my favorite songs on repeat, getting my hands on some magazines and color and glue and forgetting the rest of the world for a while.

For now, I think this will be the last collage inspired by a song. Will move on to do art for another one of my favorite artists...

I will definitely keep doing more of these collages though, because I enjoy the process very much, sitting with the lyrics, looking for images that fit the vibe and arrange them in a way that speaks to me. And there's the great bonus of having freebies ready for fan events or concerts as I later make these into postcards as well as giving them as gifts to the artists when I'm able to go see them live. It's my favorite way of saying thank you for the gift of them sharing their art with us...

⛈️💍RAIN WEDDING 💍⛈️

I finished the collage for 's "Rain Wedding" a few weeks ago already but I'm so unmotivated to post anything these days. Loved creating it and also how it turned out...

So it's not really the making of the art that feels too much, I do come back to creating little things just for myself or to gift to someone still fairly regularly. Just the sharing feels like a lot.

After the "Pink in your Gallery" story from yesterday I wanted more pink all of a sudden and so I created this page with lots of pink and gold - and eyes!!

There's just something very captivating about eyes and I realize, I use them and other fragments of faces quite a lot in my collagework. For me, they are like an invitation to a dialog between me and what emerges on the page, they speak to me and I can respond...

Haven't been making lots of art lately, much less sharing, but I do still create some pieces slowly, taking my time in what shapes up to a very busy but also uncertain year.

Today I created a page in my mini collage journal that I love a lot and that I want to share with you.

Also, I'm obsessed with the song I chose for the post and I feel the image really expresses what I feel while listening to it, even though I can't understand the lyrics.

I really love the vibes of this one, it looks fresh and lovely. It gives me motivation to keep going and complete the set of four song inspired pieces by this awesome band.

Today's the day - to go to the movies to watch "The Rose: Come Back To Me" and get to know some other Black Roses in Argentina.

We only were a few in Quilmes but we laughed and cried and sang under our breath - wishing the movie was longer still...

And now I'm hoping to see The Rose live. So please - come back to Argentina soon!!

Let's go red for Valentines Day, with inspiration coming from .

I haven't been a fan for that long but wow, do they hit right in the feels with their music. There's several songs that give me goosebumps no matter how many times I've heard them already. And they make me feel that it's okay to struggle but also still notice the beautiful details that can always be found.

So I'm very excited to see their documentary soon and I hope they will come back to Argentina for a concert, so I will be able to see them live 🕯🙏
