With the President’s signature on December 30th, 2014 Armenia now has, for the first time, the legal framework for a comprehensive secured transactions platform. Once established, this will address a key constraint to access to finance in Armenia by allowing MSMEs and individuals to pledge vehicles, inventory, crops, equipment, and other forms of moveable collateral to secure loans.

One Step Closer to a Collateral Registry | USAID-FED Working closely with the Government of Armenia and the World Bank, USAID FED provided critical support to the development of a legal framework for secured transactions, addressing a key constraint to access to finance.
