Sheikh Hasina, the President of Awami League (AL) and Prime Minister, exercised her voting right at the Dhaka City College center this morning during the 12th Jatiya Sangsad election. Accompanied by her younger sister Sheikh Rehana, daughter Saima Wazed, and Sheikh Rehana's son Radwan Mujib Siddiq, she arrived at the polling station at 7:55 AM.

Peter Haas, the newly appointed U.S. Ambassador to Bangladesh, has stated that the United States wishes to see a free, fair, and credible election in Bangladesh, fulfilling the people's aspirations.

He mentioned, 'No party is our enemy. Each party is equal in our eyes. We view all political parties with the same perspective. We want to see every political party impartially.'

During a meeting with Jatiya Party (JP) Chairman GM Quader and JP's international affairs advisor Masud Moulavi, he made these remarks.

Today, from 3 PM to 4 PM, the meeting took place at Masud's residence in Gulshan.

Regarding the meeting, Ambassador Haas quoted Masud Moulavi, 'As we view each political party impartially, we want to witness a trustworthy and participatory election held in January.'

Regarding his participation in the upcoming national elections, Peter Haas expressed interest in understanding the main opposition party's perspective.

Masud responded, 'In response, we have told him that we are currently considering participation in 300 constituencies. We are not contemplating any other alternatives because there is still time for this matter.'

He further stated, 'Just as we do not prefer roadblocks on the path, similarly, we understand that an uninterrupted and credible national election should happen through dialogue.'

Masud Moulavi conveyed that he inquired whether there are more sanctions coming from the United States against Bangladesh. In response to this question during the meeting, Peter Haas mentioned, 'I do not have any such information up until now.'"

🔹He received this honorary distinction in recognition of his outstanding contributions in the fields of education, business, and social welfare.

🔹The renowned Indian figure, Padma Bhushan and Padma Shri awardee, N. R. Narayana Murthy, presented this honorary degree to Professor Abdullah during the university's convocation ceremony on August 10, 2023.

🔹The renowned academician-turned-entrepreneur was honored alongside the founder of India's largest company, Tata Sons, Mr. Ratan N. Tata, and former BCCI president Sourav Ganguly. The event was held at the Bishwa Bangla Convention Center in Kolkata.

🔹Professor Abdullah described Kolkata as the heart of freedom-loving Bengalis and expressed, "I take pride in being a Bengali, and today, your love and respect have truly filled me." He referred to the Bengali nation as one of the greatest in the world, while also paying humble homage to Bengali revolutionaries.

The United International University (UIU) Mars Rover Team (UMRT) secured the 3rd position in the 2023 Anatolian Rover Challenge (ARC) held in Ankara, Turkey. The team scored a total of 274.4 points. Another team from Bangladesh, Military Institute of Science and Technology (MIST) Mars Rover Society - Mongol Barota, secured the 5th position in the same competition scoring a total of 152.65 points.
