Nuristan Afghanistan , one of the most remote areas of Afghanistan and not so easy to get to ! It involved 2 days driving and camping out in tents to get there , but it was so worth the 2 day drive 😅 every province in Afghanistan is different, different rules , some more relaxed than others , this was one of those places ! Unfortunately my guide knew nothing about the history so had to google as much as internet would allow while there! This area is just amazing, tge woman here are the workers , they tend to the crips and harvest to store for winter! They don’t get much help here from NGOS as it’s so hard to reach . They don’t see so many tourists here so we we’re a bit of a novelty ! I’d love to go back deeper into Nuristan, with the right person this time that can tell me the history. This area was at one time part of Kalash Valley in Pakistan where they would make their own wine ! Woman here don’t like man to see them and have a 6th sense for men it seems ! Every car that went past they would turn their backs and hide their face ! They are not made to do that ! It’s their culture/traditions.. I was lucky as a woman I could get up close and personal with them , but a male tourist wouldn’t be able to do that … ahhhh beautiful Afghanistan and some of the beautiful faces 🇦🇫❤️

This was an interview I did with a Swiss journalist recently, he was actually a nice journalist! Lol .. unlike the German woman that attacked me on a zoom meeting for coming here as a tourist! Like as in how dare I come here and enjoy myself.. there are many countries that have suffered through decades of war , different rules , but I am at the end of the day just a tourist and a guest in the country and will never talk about politics, no matter how much I am provoked by certain people ( the German journalist) 🤦♀️ it’s still a beautiful country with beautiful people
Tourism in Afghanistan, vacation under Taliban rule The Taliban have opened the country to foreign travelers. Safety has improved and infrastructure is also being expanded. The question remains though whether one should actually go.
Nuristan , one of the most remote areas of Afghanistan and hard to reach , but moments like these 💔Afghanistan

Kabul Silo , this huge Soviet era Grainary and Bakery built back in 1956, back then it used to produce 60-90 tonnes of grain in 24 hours! Now there’s just a small fraction of this Huss building in operation.. the rest is just huge spaces with machinery that’s silent . I passed this a week ago and asked what it was , I love old places like this .. then when I found out it was Soviet I was more intrigued, so with the help of a local guide Faiz , he managed to get me permission to get inside and they gave me a huge tour , right up 17 floors to the roof ! Not your average tourist attraction but it’s been one of the highlights of my trip ! Fascinating place ! Imagining how it would’ve been back then when there were 2,000 people working there , it’s been closed for about the past 30 years , just reopened the small area last year and employs 180 people now …

2 days ago I made my was ( solo ) by taxi along the Khyber pass to Torkham land border crossing into Afghanistan…. I’ve never in my life experienced such a violent border crossing.. it was mental ! They refused to acknowledge my polio card from last November and insisted I take it again ! I had no choice as they almost forced it in my mouth , then marked my finger with a marker pen ( like an animal ) I quickly spat it out! This crossing has to be one of the worst! I’ve never seen women and men being beaten and fighting like this .,, is this crowd control ? Surely they can find another way ? Crazy !! Avoid this if you can ! Took me about 2 hours ! I’m in Afghanistan now !
