Incredible journey with Jay over the last 18 months
The word ‘identity’ gets thrown around a lot
But this genuinely feels like coaching a completely different person now
From losing all sense of confidence…
to throwing himself into the unknown
Physically - transformed.
Mentally - be became someone entirely new.
On our first call, I’d never have believed we’d get here
The man told me he ‘can’t cope with being hungry so I need to bare that in mind’ 😂
So we started with baby steps
Steps so small he couldn’t not tick the boxes
Week by week, we built habits, structure, and stronger self-talk
And that shift - slowly but surely - brought his confidence back to life
That’s my advice to any coach working with someone who lacks self-belief:
break the process down so manageable until it becomes impossible not to succeed.
Confidence is simple -
it’s self-evidence built through keeping your word, over and over again.
Words don’t really do justice to the growth I’ve seen in this guy
But I’ll settle for the fact he’s now a believer 😂🤝🏼

when you can’t even think straight…
The only way out is back to the present
Most of us live stuck in our heads -
constantly worrying and chasing
But fulfillment only exists in the here and now
I am not sure who needs to hear this right now
Take that risk
Don't be held back by the fear of what other's think
It's who you become along the way that actually matters
Not what material possessions you gain in the process
Identity over outcomes - always.

Breathwork? Nonsense mate
The idea of sitting on the floor breathing sounded like madness to me
But over the last year - it’s become one of the biggest game changers in my life
When I’m overwhelmed, when my head’s spinning with to-do lists,
I take 5–10 minutes, focus on my breath, and every single time - clarity follows.
Because once you calm your nervous system,
you stop reacting… and start thinking.
The best part? It’s completely free and accessible to all of us.
And for anyone coaching others?
Teaching mindset practices is the real performance edge most people ignore
Staying lean year-round is this simple
Everyone wants the magic pill
The new GLP drug
The new fad diet
The new fasting secret
BUT none of them are as effective as this simple truth
Why?
Muscle is one of the most metabolically active tissues in your body
It raises your basal metabolic rate, meaning you can eat more food at maintenance
It's a huge metabolic sink - basically where all your food gets burned up, even when you're sleeping.
Not to mention, when you have high muscle mass, you can create massive outputs in training
Why this matters for coaches?
Because sometimes our clients need to hear it straight
They often want to achieve a level of condition that is not realistic based on their muscle mass
It is our job to educate them on the harsh truths (which often people don't want to hear)
(And of course - this isn't really a hack because it takes years of effort, gaining phases, and relentless commitment) 😂
But it's the only thing that truly makes staying lean sustainable long-term
