1 Stop Car Guide

Great day at Porsche Experience Centre Silverstone.

Drove the new 718 Boxster S & Cayman GTS. I was shocked how fast they are compared to the 981 Boxster S.

I had alot of fun around the various tracks that they have, especially kick plate and ice hill. Thanks to my instructor Simon for helping me improve my driving skills.

I just purchased this as a new project however it needs some tlc. It has the wrong wheels, very dirty, few dents and dull paint but a fun car to drive and I always wanted one when they came out. I will post pics of the progress.

My runner for today.

This is VWs entry level to their line of SUVs and I have to say, its really good! A comfortable, raised seating position, smooth gear change and a solid feel that it reminded me of driving a 2017 Evoque. Spacious interior fornits size and I was really impressed with the digital display that had a full screen navigation. Anyone that Loves VWs and wants a car slightly bigger than a Golf, I recommend you test drive the T-Cross.

How to check your tyre size.

If you're in a situation and need to know the size of your tyres but dont know what they are, this guide should help you.

Below is a breakdown of the raised numbers and letters. *an example of what a Tyre Fitter needs to know:
235: width of tyre.
35: side profile. (Sidewall)
20: Rim Diameter.

Additional info:
ZR: Radial construction.
88: Load rating. (Load capacity)
Y: speed rating. (TIP! - Make sure you get the correct speed rating as having the wrong one could invalidate your car insurance) *All tyre size information is standardized around the world. For this example I have used my own tyres as a guide but your numbers may differ. I hope this helps anyone that needs it.

A follow up from my previous post. If you need to change your tyres, there are many good Tyre Fitters out there but one I can recommend that I have personally used many times is blackcircles.com .

The site is very easy to use and you can choose the supplier closest to you and see how they are rated. Everytime I have purchased my new tyres through the job has always been professional and consistent.

I fell in love with this car the 1st time I saw Bad Boys. Definitely one to have in my dream garage. Who else likes this Porsche?
