Night dives are always full of surprises.

Diving at night at a location which is very familiar to you will present you with a completely new experience.

Night diving definitely changes the way we see marine life. At night the marine world appears to be more beautiful, colorful and mysterious.

The experience and calmness of night diving cannot be compared with any other form of scuba diving. It is completely different. Dive slowly at night and you will find it exciting and relaxing at the same time. Many of the reef animals sleep during the day and only come out at night.

Dive Site | Artificial Reef | FUJAIRAH, UAE

After descending the anchor line to the bottom, you will see sets of tires and concrete domes teaming with Spotted Snapper.

Locate and follow the larger rope on the seafloor for about 10m and you are taken to a small fishing boat with resident Batfish, Grouper and if you look closely, you may be lucky enough to see Nudibranch.

Continue the line past the boat another 10m and you’ll see a large group of concrete hollow pyramids (tetrahedron) stacked on top of the other. At the top are shoals of Mackerel and Snapper. Look closely because the Giant Pufferfish love to use these groups as cover!

As you fin over the top and look down, you’ll see Trumpetfish, Grouper, Arabian Angelfish, Batfish, Parrotfish, Lionfish, Anemonefish (Clownfish), Sergeant Major, Cardinalfish, and Bannerfish swimming in and out of the structures. Work your way around the bottom edge and look for Nudibranchs, Moray Eel and Stingray!

Return to the line, complete your safety stop and back in the boat to prepare for your next dive!

Diving Site | Inchcape 1 | FUJAIRAH, UAE

30m 5 minutes from the diving centre, this site is normally our first site of the day (if Advanced) or it is used on the night dive. Like Inchcape 2, Inch 1 was donated and sunk in 2001, she now lays on a sand bottom in 32m. The wheelhouse has also been ripped off during the cyclone and moved the wreck 50m!. The wreck is a huge ball of marine life, so much in fact you have to move them away in order to see the wreck. The wreck has two resident Honeycomb Moray eels Fred and Wilma, 2 Seahorses and in the summer months 4 Frog Fish. This site is also a regular Tec training site for us on rebreathers or Sidemount.
