(By Lee) Oh, lord, that wasn't great. Unlike the other room in this complex, which was very nice, this one wasn't... the shiniest UV in UV chandelier (side note - damn, I'd love to see a UV chandelier).
The room starts with a very interesting and really unique concept, but quickly derails from there.
Something about the room didn't click. The combination of the puzzles, some of which were quite confusing, the ambiance which made it very tricky to communicate between us at some points, and the story line which.. to be honest I have no idea how to make sense of, created an experience that wasn't one of my favorites on the trip, and left me mainly confused.

🎬 There is a laboratory in the abandoned cinema, which is designed to produce psychotropic gases. You are trapped there and soon you will get to know that toxic gas is not the greatest hazard you are exposed to.

(By Lee) My first trip to Andorra! And probably the last, there's practically nothing to do there.
This was the second room that we played in that facility (the first one will be discussed separately).
We are stuck in a cabin during an avalanche, and need to find our way to safety.
The room is, pun slightly intended, very cool. A lot of thought was put behind every step of the experience, and there's logic behind every aspect of the room, and a justification for its existence.
Some of the visual aspects are absolutely stunning, using a couple of gimmicks that I adore in escape rooms, and every time I see them I get extremely happy.
While most of the puzzles weren't something to write home about, the general experience is great, and has a very subtle, but great, story line.
That being said, pro tip: It is quite easy to get hurt in the exit of the room, if you are as stupid as I am. The game master had plasters etc ready, so it seems I wasn't the first one to do something extremely obvious and stupid!

🎬 You were travelling in the mountains of Andorra, when suddenly a snow storm hit you. Your chances for survival seemed slim, but suddenly you saw an abandoned hut in front of you. But as soon as the door closed behind you, avalanche descended, and the door was blocked with snow. You can’t wait the storm out in the hut, and there is not enough fuel in the generator, so it will only last for one hour. You have to repair an old radio and to call for rescue as soon as possible. But in some time you come to an awful understanding: there is something wrong with this house, and awful things are happening in it!

L’entrada a “Allau” és típica de la casa, és a dir, explicació de les normes i la història i cap a dins, sense introducció immersiva.
Tot i tractar-se d’una sala “veterana”, l’ambientació és un dels seus punts forts i té algun efecte força sorprenent. Això sí, aquesta “veterania” es veu marcada per altres aspectes menys positius, com el desgast d’algun mecanisme i una qualitat de so bastant justeta.
Els jocs són lineals i, tot i ser d’una dificultat mitja, algun el vam trobar poc intuïtiu. A més, el fet que fallessin un parell de coses i tardéssim més del compte en rebre ajuda, va fer que la fluïdesa del joc no fos l’esperada.
Vam jugar en família i, respecte això, volem destacar que, tot i que a la web s’indica “a partir de 7 anys”, no creiem que la trama de la història sigui adequada per aquesta edat. La trobem més adient a partir de 10-11 anys (o més segons el tipus d’imatges que estiguin acostumats a veure).
El paper de la GM va ser totalment secundari, amb una introducció bàsica i una aportació de p*stes massa tardana en algun punt. I al final, pim pam, foto, cash i adéu. Hauríem agraït alguna petita explicació de la trama o possibles dubtes.
Per acabar un aspecte que ens va sorprendre (i molestar una miqueta, també): si l’idioma oficial d’Andorra és el català i, a l’hora de reservar, et deixen escollir-lo com a idioma durant el joc, per què després es desenvolupa totalment en castellà? potser perquè els blocaires escap*stes en català estem en perill d’extinció? ves a saber…
En resum, és una sala que podria ser espectacular (i segurament ho va ser al seu dia) però que ens va deixar bastant freds i no pas per la neu.

La escenografía ideal. Te metes en la historia my fácil, no sòlo por el decorado y los efecto sino por la explicaciòn que la chica dá al principio.
Muy recomendable para ir en familia.
