Fuller Yoga’s mission is to educate and serve students who want to learn proper alignment for yoga Pilates barre. Our intention is to help you find relief from stress, feel better in your body and prevent injury.
This will be a fun afternoon of exploring movement that focusing on lower back mobility, through isolating the pelvis in both anterior and posterior tilts while executing various yoga poses. What does that mean for you? You’re going to feel amazing after flowing through this VERY dynamic class that will allow your body to feel stronger, longer, more open, and feeling ready for whatever comes your way. We will also touch upon the psoas group of muscles that not only supports you in these movements, but also supports you emotionally through tough times like we’re going through.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
This is a special workshop taught by Tracy Hayes of Amplified Movement, instructor to MLB baseball players, who uses these techniques to help athletes gain greater mobility safely and effectively through asanas.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

HIP + ADDUCTOR MOBILITY⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

ANTERIOR + POSTERIOR PELVIC ISOLATION⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Since each muscle is influenced by corresponding muscles, it’s important to address the surrounding areas as well when looking to gain better mobility…. so that’s what we do here!⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I rarely recommend holding a pose (no static stretching), instead, the majority of the yoga I teach is dynamic, constantly moving and modified from what you might see in a regular class because (in my opinion) it allows for greater ROM, less stress on the ligaments, and translates better into real-life actions.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

The use of props in a yoga class doesn’t necessarily make it easier. Sometimes the props assist the postures to be deeper and increase strength and flexibility. In this class you will use chairs, light weights, blocks, blankets and straps to increase strength, stability and range of motion. Participants in this class range from 34 – 82 and it can accommodate people suffering from a herniation, low back pain, injuries and recovery from surgeries.
