We gather together, break bread, and share stories. In all of that, we hope to follow the ways of Jesus with an eclectic mix of regular gatherings, special events, and ways to partner with us to better serve our neighbors.
On the first Sunday of each month, we gather in the community room at Bell Arts Factory. On the other Sundays, we share space with a synagogue at 4839 Market Street. Please bring food to share for our community dinner. Please note if there is any gluten, dairy, or other common allergic item in your food.
We hope that all persons will feel welcomed to participate in our community. In our community, no question is off limits. All of us are wrestling with something(s).
We find purpose by following the ways of Jesus. We join our neighbors who also honestly wrestle with God, difficult questions, and doubts.
We believe that everyone is worthy of dignity since we are all image-bearers of God. We believe in calling out that dignity in one another.
We do not have a conquering mentality when it comes to following the ways of Jesus. We are poor, rich, old, young, single, married, gay, straight, book-smart, street-smart, certain, doubting, hurting, and thriving. Through all of these God-given differences, Christ’s love binds together all of our differences into a kaleidoscope of unity.
We are dedicated to adding beauty to our community. One way that we do it is by supporting LGBTQ+ friends who want to be who God created them to be. It can also come in the form of supporting a local non-profit that offers infants and children who are homeless a safe place to go while their parents find a job or go to school. Another passion that we share is preventing human trafficking that happens in our backyard.
We will be participating in this movement for love on Monday!
The One Orlando Alliance, aka "The LGBTQ+ Alliance", is an evolving coalition of over 30 LGBTQ+ organizations - all committed to serving the Central Florida LGBTQ+ community. We came together, after the Pulse tragedy, to help our community heal.
