Chili supper and Candlelight Tours on October 28. Chili with homemade desserts will be served from 4 to 6 p.m. Free will donations for meal. Beginning at 6 p.m. Candlelight Tours of the Home will be conducted. Come experience life in the Home as it was in the days before electricity. Advance tickets are $15; $20 at door. Tickets are available from board members and at Insurance Associates in downtown Tipton.

Located in Tipton, Missouri. Open for tours May - October. Built in 1858 as a girls seminary, it closed when owner left to join the Confederate Army.

All furnishings are original.

Eleanor Maclay, granddaughter of Cyrus Maclay, was laid to rest today at the Odd Fellows Cemetery near Tipton.

Confederate attack on house successfully repulsed!

4th of July at Maclay Home. Serving hamburgers & hot dogs with ice cream & cookies until 2 pm. Last cannon firing at 1:30.

[06/22/20]   38th Annual Ice Cream Social will be July 4th, 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sack lunch of grilled hamburger or hot dog and chips will be served along with ice cream and cookies. Musical entertainment on grounds. Cannon firing at 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. No house tours this year.

Rain is supposed to stop in time for our chili supper and candlelight tours. We also do carry-outs from Carriage House. Please come support our back porch floor replacement project. Tour tickets are $20 - come experience life before electricity.
