Personal Training, Group Training, and much more! We help women find purpose through fitness and regain their confidence into their mind, body, and soul.

The mission of BeFit4Akhirah is to inspire, motivate, and dedicate women in getting active, staying fit, and being strong with a purpose.

Ola Khaldi Alghazzouli graduated from George Mason University with a B.S in Biology and Health Promotion minor. She became an ACE certified personal trainer in 2016. She is passionate on bringing together mental health into fitness because she has experienced and knows what it feels like to be at the lowest moment in life, and she has overcame eating disorders and mental health struggles such as suicidal attempts. She believes in taking care of the mind first before the body because without a strong mind, the body can't be strong, and without a strong mind and body, the soul can't be strong.

Hello everyone, my name is Ola K. Alghazzouli, an ACE certified personal trainer. My goal is to help you stay fit and active as well as inspired and motivated. Also, as a Muslim, my goal is to remind myself first foremost and Muslims on our 5th pillar [article] of faith in Islam which is the belief in the Last Day (as we call it in Arabic: Akhira). I want to inspire all of us to workout, to stay fit, and active so our bodies can be healthy and strong to be used to build our Akhira. In shaa Allah, with a healthy body, we can feel energized to get our prayers in, help our families, friends, neighbors, build communities together, and do good deeds using our bodies which shall be a witness for us on Day of Judgment.

Are you looking to improve your freestyle stroke?
.
Here's a drill that I have been adding to my swims and workouts.
.
Grab a kick board and kick off the pool wall holding onto the kickboard.
.
On your way to the other end of the pool, rotate to only one side and use the pull drill to drag forward using your arm technique and body rotation to propel forward. (Here for recording purposes, I did two sides for camera view and showing how I'm doing it so far with my swims)
.
As you come back to the starting end of the pool, work on the other side.
.
This drill helps me work on my:
🏊🏻‍♀️breathing technique
🏊🏻‍♀️ my arm - the catch phase
🏊🏻‍♀️the body rotation
🏊🏻‍♀️the leg kicks
.
Swimming takes muscle memory. Therefore, start today with your swimming journey whether on land or in water.
.
You are capable of it. And you can also become an efficient swimmer with practice and time!
.
I am here for you to help you jumpstart your swimming journey as I'm a certified personal trainer and a certified basic level-swim instructor.
.
Now let's dive in!

[01/20/20]   Good morning from East side USA, I want to share with you that there will be some changes happening with BeFit4Akhirah! Please stay tuned! Thank you!

Before I became a certified swim instructor, I thought I knew my strokes pretty well because I've been swimming my whole life. I wasn't competitive swimmer, but I took a swimming course at my community college during my undergraduate college career. I learned at age 6....but I was never AWARE my strokes were wrong until I signed up for a red cross certification course.
.
This is a basic freestyle aka, the front crawl which is one of the most common swimming strokes used.
.
You see in this video, my arm technique wasn't correct. And the thing is...I never knew that. No one spoke to me about it or point it out...until I signed up for my red cross certification course.
.
And with swimming, it takes muscle memory & practice to really nail it down. And it's a life long journey.
.
With this arm technique, my arm went too far back to come back for the catch phase.
.
It should have been only up to my hip then come back up to the catch phase and then drag down into the water to propel forward.
.
This is why it's really important to work on your techniques to have them correctly done to help you swim more efficiently and prevent injuries.
.
Please comment below what is your favorite swimming stroke that you use in swimming 🏊🏻‍♀️⬇️

Will 2020 be the year that you give water aerobics an opportunity to try into your workout program?
💦
Here's why you should reconsider it and give it a chance:
1. Water supports the body, putting less stress on your joints and muscles.
2. Working out in water helps build strength. Fighting against the push of the water activates your muscles
3. Water pressure helps put less strain on the heart by moving blood around the body
💦
And it really is fun, especially if you love both swimming and the aquatic world.
💦
Come join me this winter break and for spring 2020 semester at GMU every Monday and Wednesday 5-6 p.m for a water aerobics class. 💦
What are you waiting for?
🙌🏻
Just give it a chance and then decide if it's for you or not.

Why having a purpose behind the weight-loss journey is very important

New year! New you! Right?
Welcome to this episode as I talked on why I took an 8-week purposeful weight loss journey briefly and what is the body of Jannah course for.
In this episode I touched base on the following topics:
Why having a purpose behind the weight loss journey is important.
Why our emotions play a role in our weight-loss journey in the long run.
Motivational reminders why loving yourself is a very important and key factor for long term success.
To view the blog post mentioned, please click here: https://www.befit4akhirah.com/post/purposeful-weight-loss-journey-let-s-bring-a-new-discussion-to-the-weightloss-culture
And the course to the body of jannah can be found here: https://befit4akhirah1.teachable.com/p/body-of-jannah
Remember to:

BeFit4Akhirah

There's always a reason & a purpose behind everything in life.
🦸🏻‍♀️
And so was my 8 week purposeful weightloss journey.
🦸🏻‍♀️
I launched it as a beta program to get some women join me as well to see how it will go and re-launch it in 2020.
🦸🏻‍♀️
This journey wasn't for me to lose weight. It wasn't for me to look certain way and fit in certain dress.
🦸🏻‍♀️
It was to overcome my insecurities that came back to me back in Oct 2019. It was to work on my mindset which is always something I'm working on.
🦸🏻‍♀️
Also, I wanted to bring inclusiveness to @bodyimagemovement because I couldn't find a single Muslim woman wearing hijab and is covered up being represented at all. I wanted to be that woman for the other women struggling with their body image acceptance too because I have also overcome my own battle with eating disorder in the past.
🦸🏻‍♀️
It's because mental health is real and understanding our emotions are important to be talked about within the fitness industry.
🦸🏻‍♀️
It's because this is what BeFit4Akhirah has always been about. Not about the scale, the measurements, the artificial looks on the outside. Although important yes, but it's not everything. My brand has always been about the mind, body, and soul from an Islamic perspective. But now as I move forward in 2020, I want to include other people of faith too. Because I realized how faith is still taboo topic within the fitness industry, and it's not the sexiest topic as of now.
🦸🏻‍♀️
And so stay tuned because more is going to be coming out about this journey and what I've in stores for you.

Has your anxiety ever prevented you from getting your swim or workout in?
.
Let's talk about mental health and mindset for a quick brief moment.
.
2020 has just begun and now we're all on the bandwagon on losing weight and going for our goals.
.
I would like to remind you that working on the mindset is what will get you through the year and years to come.
.
If nothing changes in how you perceive trials and tribulations of this life, then you can't expect a change in your life.
.
There will come waves in life where you may feel like drowning and sinking in your fears and inner doubts.
.
And you need the tools to learn how to survive this harsh life and swim your way through it.
.
If you're ready to make 2020 the year you work on your mindset and become more active, then comment below and let's just keep on swimming!

Are you ready to run into your dreams and goals in 2020?
.
Here's what I learned and the message I want to continue in sharing:
1. Know that it's not just about reaching your end goal. But how you will overcome those obstacles that will come up in your life.
2. Mindset is everything! What mindset will you have in 2020? The growth mindset that will learn from failures or the fixed ones stuck on failures?
3. Having core values and sticking to them is very important. What are your values?
4. Be willing to be vulnerable with your own self, not necessarily on social media. But be open and understand your own emotions.
5. It's not about the outside looks and the prestige. If that's what you care about, it's okay. But remember to stay real to yourself and not become fake trying to impress others while you lose yourself in the process.
6. Faith is important. Whether you believe in God or an atheist, believing in something is important.
7. Know you're enough and the world needs you.
8. Mental health is important as well as emotional intelligence.
9. Stay focused on yourself and do pay attention to what's around you but make sure to not allow the fear of competition get into you.
10. Surround yourself with positive and open minded people who will bring the best of you.
.
What are some of your biggest lessons from 2019 and the past?
.
Share below and let's empower one another to reach our goals for 2020!

How faith plays a role in our fitness journeys with Sara

This is the week where both Jewish and Christians celebrate their holidays, both Hanukkah and Christmas. And I am all about faith and fitness here on my show and on all the work that I've been doing with BeFit4Akhirah. So having Sara come on the show to talk about faith and fitness from the Jewish perspective was super inspirational.
The mission of Fit Jewess is the following:
Fit Jewess has a two-fold mission:
1. To provide women and gals across the world with tips, guidance, and inspirationto help cross the divide between our fitness goals and current lifestyles from a bodypositive, weight-neutral perspective.
In other words, to prove to matzah balls and potato latkes that we can and will befit despite our culture-specific idiosyncrasies.
2. To serve as a community of like-minded Fit Jewesses that supports, encouragesand cheers on one another.
After all, only we truly know what it’s like to be fit, female and Jewish.
On today's episode, we talked about the following:
The traditions of Hanukkah.
How faith played a role in our lifestyle and in getting active even more.
The body image movement that Sara is on and how it's related to what I am going to be launching in 2020.
And of course, so much more!
Check Sara's work at https://fitjewess.com/
Make sure to tag us along on social media at FitJewess and BeFit4Akhirah
We would love to hear from you on your favorite part of this episode

Wisam Sharieff

As salam wa alekom everyone. I was supposed to go live with Imam Wisam, but it didn't work out for me. Please take a listen to see what will be coming in 2020 in shaa Allah.

As Hanukkah and Christmas celebration begins this week, I want to wish everyone who celebrates these holidays a blessed time with your family and friends.
.
BeFit4Akhirah is all about faith and fitness.
.
And faith isn't just for one particular religion.
.
For the past 5 years, my main focus was speaking to the Muslim audience only.
.
But I want to shift gears as I head into 2020. I want to speak to people of faith and anyone who wants to incorporate faith into their fitness programs.
.
This is what I have been about, and this is who I will continue to be.
.
Faith is part of my lifestyle and will continue to be part of my business.
.

Why BeFit4Akhirah is going to bring swimming back into the conversation of fitness?

I know there have been few changes in my recent content on my social media, and I have been talking about swimming more often lately.

This blog below is put together briefly because it's something that is on my mind that I would like to share with the world.

Please take a moment to read and check the form at the end to fill in for feedback.

Thank you so much for your support!

Let's finish 2019 off strong!

https://www.befit4akhirah.com/post/why-swimming

befit4akhirah.com Swimming is a life-saving skill that everyone should be able to learn no matter what. This post briefly explains why BeFit4Akhirah is going to shift focus into

How it all started out: BeFit4Akhirah

The name BeFit4Akhirah came together in 2014 when I was listening to lectures on YouTube called, “Prophetic Dynasty” from Imam Wisam Sharieff. This year I also lost my grandmother as she passed away back home, in Damascus, Syria. Her death was very emotional and heartbreaking for me because she was calling my mom’s and my name in the hospital while she was sleeping and saw us in her dream. The doctors asked who were these names and why did she call them. Once they found out they were her daughter and granddaughter, the doctor said they need to be here because the chances of her living are very slim. I was in school at that time, Spring semester at George Mason University, and I couldn’t leave. However, my mom was able to go and be with her during her last days.

Prior to birth of BeFit4Akhirah, I have battled suicide attempts, overcame eating disorder(s), and much more. I have had my up’s and downs as I still do, but they were hard to deal with, and I did seek professional and spiritual help as well as had amazing support system by my side.

When I discovered the lectures on YouTube, Prophetic Dynasty, I found my connection again with Allah swt as well as felt connected with all the prophets. I took the lectures very seriously as I took notes in my notebook and saved them till this day, and I was watching as well as taking notes privately in my room without having anyone find out. And the reason for that is because seeking Islamic knowledge has been a little struggle for me because when I wore my hijab in 2011 and started practicing Islam more, I was told that I am becoming “religious” and that I am going “extreme”. So I had lost the balance and fell off wagon, and until this day, I remind myself to keep trying and stay as strong and true as possible to my belief and values.

During the lectures, Imam Wisam touched on the point of Akhirah where he discussed in some details relating it to his thesis paper he did years ago. That moment, it hit me and light bulb turned on.

My grandmother’s death and Prophetic Dynasty YouTube lectures all were connected, and I felt alive inside again as well as found my purpose in my life.

With that, I created BeFit4Akhirah on Facebook first then it went on to Instagram, and from there I got my minor in Health Promotion minor because I no longer loved my B.S Biology. In fact, I almost dropped out of college because I didn’t know what to do with my life anymore since my grades were horrible in my Biology classes, and I had to retake so many courses to raise my GPA. I was fortunate and blessed to earn the opportunity to continue my education and finish off with my minor.

When it came to speaking about faith of afterlife, Akhirah, I realized how true that is just from my own life experience. So many times I had wanted my life to end, and I even tried to end it myself, but there was deep conviction inside that there will be consequences in what I do. But I was hopeless and didn’t find any purpose in my life anymore.
