[05/26/20]   CARES ACT provides some increased tax benefits for Charitable Contributions with BIG savings for IRA owners!!

1) New $300 Deduction for Individuals Above-the-Line. If you make a gift to charity but do not itemize your deductions on your tax return, you will be allowed to take a special deduction of up to $300 to reduce your tax liability.
2) 100% Charitable Deduction Limit. Gifts of cash to public charities (excluding donor-advised funds and supporting organizations) are now deductible up to 100 percent of your adjusted gross income (AGI).
3) Required Minimum Distribution (RMD) Waiver. This year, RMD is waived for IRA and other qualified retirement plan owners.
