Volunteer Appreciation Day at Paramount in Seattle, on April 21, 2017.
Mother's Day is coming on Sunday, May 14. Pastor Mark was at the Paramount care center this past Sunday, May 7, and conducted his Mother's Day service for the Residents there a week early. The message was the story about the love between Jesus and his Mother, and came from the Gospel of John as found in Chapter 2 and Chapter 19, and finished with commentary referencing Luke's Gospel. Our primary song was "I Love to Tell the Story."
[04/27/17] We are currently studying the Book of Genesis in our mid-week Bible Studies. This week we are doing Genesis chapters 14 and 15. Ch 14 is about the Great World War that was fought by the 4 Mesopotamian and Hittite Kings against the 5 cities of the plain, and in which 6 other kingdoms were severely attacked by the Mesopotamians. Abram and his friends had been neutral but were forced into the fight when Abram pursued the Mesopotamians to rescue his nephew Lot. Abram returned from the Battle as the VIctor to a heroes welcome.
I thought I posted this here a few years ago but it must have been to my personal page.
At our mid-week Bible Study meetings on Wed & Thursday evenings, we have been going through the Book of Genesis in a very straight forward and logical manner. This week we covered Genesis Chapters 10 and 11, with the List of 70 Nations (the Grandsons and Great Grandsons of Noah) that were created by God, assigned a language, and sent out to populate their own unique land on the earth. God blessed those Nations, God established their borders, God determined the criteria for judgment upon them and gave advance warning to them to be good stewards of His resources and God determined the timing for their Rise & Fall.
The Nations who fall, fall because they are bad stewards of God's great blessings to them. We learned that each Nation created by God is a Family that traces back to one Father of that Nation who is named there and that these are the family groups or Nations that Jesus will judge at the end of days when He returns to establish His Kingdom. We also examined other Scriptural references related to the Nations found in both the Old and New Testaments, including Deuteronomy 32.8, Acts 17.26, Genesis 12.1-3, Genesis 15.16, Psalms 110.8, Matthew 23, Matthew 25, and many others.
[02/06/17] Just finished service at the Paramount Care Center (formerly called Leon Sullivan) at 330 pm. We had a good time with old time songs like Lily of the Valley, Jesus Paid it All, and Jesus is the Sweetest Name of All. My message was about Jesus...the One and Only Image of God. The primary text was Colossians 1.
At our mid-week Bible Study, we are talking about the Atonement as an introduction to the Letter to the Hebrews. We are doing this because it is vitally important that all believers understand the Atonement...and, because such an understanding is necessary in order for us to comprehend the richness and fullness of this important letter.

[01/01/17] Will kick off the New Year tomorrow Jan 1, 2017 with our dear folks at the Leon Sullivan Care Center in Seattle by bringing them the Life Giving and Life Sustaining Gospel of Jesus Christ. We will sing and dance and Shout Hallelujah!!! Pastor Mark's message will be about the Most Important Day in Human History. That day was the day that Jesus Christ paid our sin debt upon His Cross and forever reconciled us to God our Father. On that day Jesus Christ provided The Everlasting Atonement by the Sacrifice of Himself Once for all time. Having a Bible doesn't do a person any good unless its open in front of their face and they are reading and studying it...and saying Amen! to every passage of God's truth that is revealed.
