Janet Brewer is now at JCPenney's Stying Salon at Northgate

Janet Brewer designs customized, ready to wear hair based on current trends and common sense. Her styles wear well in the everyday conditions of your life.

My work wears well in the environmental conditions of your life and enhances your everyday moments. I am an artistic hairstylist. I use a recipe which is uniquely customized for each of you. Here is what we will need:

1 whole box of you
1 dream
2 C. of conversation
4 tsp of jokes
1/2 tsp. of hot sauce
3 secret ingredients

Then grate the zest of one dream. Add 1 whole box of you. Stir in conversation, jokes, and hot sauce. Gently mix in inspiration. Fold in the job, the kids, the sports, and the spouse. Finally add my 3 secret ingredients and a dash of love,.Last we will need one to three hours.

I'll let you in on one of the secret ingredients...continued education and the study of current trends. Hmmmmmm? what are the other two?

[10/13/15]   Wow it has been way tooooooo long since I've shared Janet hair wisdom's. Your Integrity that is what it is all about!!!!! What you say? Keeping the integrity of your hair it is all about it's cuticle , if it is tight light can reflect and that is shiny hair. The right hair products in and out of the salon are what will make the cuticle the best it can be, I have recently introduced Sojourn to my repertoire in the salon...it has a low ph and works on closing the cuticle, I use this at the shampoo station exclusively!

[01/03/15]   Where you in a snow globe today? It felt like it to me...beautiful fluffy snowflakes. What a beautiful way to start the day and also end the day with none at all. I was thinking about how different snowflakes are and we are as well. Each person has unique coloring and features...and then add in some incredible hair growth patterns and what do you get? Each of us, as unique as a snow flake. Then add in hair texture, resilience, life style, environment, and you will understand how blessed I am to be a hairstylist. My art is always challenging because your hair is my medium. Some artist use colored pencils, oil paint, charcoal and I use Affinage and you. I wish you happy hair for 2015!!!!! Love, Janet

[11/17/14]   Bangs are a called fringe in England and Australia. Fringe always makes me think of the twistie things hanging off of Oriental rugs. Anyway, I am here to say called whatever, they can make a huge difference in your look. A half bang like a v neck creates length, a bang cut into the temples creates width, cut forward around the eyes they can make the face look smaller and frame your eyes. The trick of bangs is to consider their growth patern...it rules.

[11/13/14]   Just a note to say hi and talk a little bit about hair and life. It is literally freezing outside so you may be wearing a hat. When you take the hat off rub your hands together to create warmth and natural oil then start at your scalp and fluff your hair outward...the product that is in your hair (hopefully you have used some) will kick into memory and you will no longer have hat hair! Keep warm!!!

Saying goodbye to old salon...
