The Gospel of Mark Mark 6 : 1-13 Sermon by Pastor Derek Hiebert
Listening to our friend and partner in the gospel, Jeff Vanderstelt, unpack what everyday mission looks like in our monthly Community Group Sync.
As we gather on this beautiful Sunday morning for one more service at 10:30am, please be mindful of our neighbors and use our designated parking lot on Holden and 34th.
This Sunday, Trinity West Seattle has the pleasure of welcoming a friend and partner in Gospel ministry, Derek Hiebert, as our guest preacher.
Derek is the Director of the Seattle Teaching Site for Western Seminary, a Leader at Soma Church in Tacoma, and has a M.A. in Biblical Theology and Exegesis from Western Seminary. More importantly, he's a brother in Christ, a great husband and father, and a dear friend.
Please give him a warm Trinity welcome and be sure to come ready to learn as we continue in our sermon series in the Gospel of Mark.

"There is a great Latin term 'Felix Culpa.' There's a song that Kings Kaleidoscope wrote about it... it's called 'Fortunate Fall.' What a great term; a 'fortunate fall'—that my falls are trophies and emblems of God's grace. Not to make much of my sin and not to give permission to sin, but when I fall His grace gets to be magnified... because I get to fall into the loving arms of a good Father—forward."

"Ever watch National Geographic and you've seen lionesses hunt down their prey, what do they always do? It's the same story every time. They go after a herd and scatter it. And in their frenetic dash to escape harm, the weak, the lame, the young, the infirmed are left behind and isolated—and they become prey."
