Our office is undergoing a change in leadership, with Carole Grayson, our Director and Staff Attorney of 17 years, retiring on June 2!
We are delighted introduce you to our new Director and Staff Attorney, Rory B. O'Sullivan.
Prior to joining SLS, Rory worked as the Managing Attorney for the King County Bar Association's Housing Justice Project and as an attorney for the Northwest Justice Project. A UW alum, Rory went on to receive his Juris Doctor from Georgetown University Law Center.
We are very excited to have Rory on board - his 10 years of experience as a legal services attorney, on behalf of low -income clients, will benefit the UW student community.
Please join us in welcoming Rory!
Welcome back Huskies! We hope you had a great Spring Break and are ready to tackle Spring Quarter!
Did you get into some trouble over break? Traffic ticket? DUI? Car collision? Our office can help! Please see our website (http://depts.washington.edu/slsuw/) and give us a call (206-543-6486) to schedule a *FREE* 40-minute consultation on any matter.
depts.washington.edu Justice for you.
Today our office celebrated with Director & Staff Attorney Carole Grayson on her nomination for the 2017 Distinguished Staff Award. While we will not know if Carole receives this award until April, our office is proud to watch Carole receive this nomination!
Our office likes to keep in touch with our past staff. Every once in a while we hear a spectacular story. A former Rule 9 Legal Intern shared a photo of her wedding cake – stacked law books!!!
Check it out! We hear that the cake, created by Honey Crumb Cake Studio, varied in flavor and that two ‘books’ were chocolate, two were white chocolate, and the last was raspberry champagne.
The happy couple met at UW law school and thought it a great tribute to their love to center the cake around the very thing that brought them together. A big congratulations go out to the couple, who are Washington attorneys.
The Day After the Day After the 2016 Elections:
From Staff Attorney Carole Grayson’s collection from her undergrad years in the early 70’s, here are political buttons of one impeached president and several presidential candidates who never made it to the White House. #history #politics
Today in the HUB Lyceum, our office is making sure all incoming international students know about their rights on campus and in the great State of Washington! We'll be here until 3:00pm. Come and see us!
Our Legal Assistant application is closing on 2/20! Apply now if you haven't already and join our team! Must be a current UW undergraduate first or second year student!
