I want to start this review by saying that Dr. Giardino is about as great of a dentist as any patient could ask for. I was recently referred to Dr. G by my wife who has been a patient of his for a couple of years now and has had nothing but positive things to say about her experience.
We moved over from the east side of the state back in 2013 and admittedly hadn't put too much thought into finding a dentist in the area until one of my back teeth became increasingly sensitive. We lived in eastlake at the time and I of course decided to go to the absolute closest dentist to have it checked out. The office was in an affluent neighborhood, with a prime location, big staff, cutting edge technology, the works. During my 'new patient' visit the dentist concluded that I had a total of 7 cavities that they needed to fix, yes 7! Needless to say I was shocked by this diagnosis as I have always taken good care of my teeth (brushing twice a day and flossing 3-5x/week) and honestly couldn't remember having a filling since before I was in high school, over 10 years ago. It is also worth mentioning I was a division 1 football player in college and have always had healthy eating habits. Looking back at it, I think the hardest part of the whole situation was feeling as though my dentist was putting their own interests, to maximize billing, ahead of mine. Admittedly I do have zero expertise in the dentistry field but I do work in commercial real estate and feel I have a pretty good sense as to when a person is being genuine and when alternate motives are present. After sharing my less than ideal experience with my wife she immediately recommended Dr. G to get a second opinion.
A couple of weeks later I was in the U-district meeting Dr. G for the first time and let me just say my experience could not have been any different. The office is small and there appeared to be a total staff of maybe 3 or 4. Immediately I could tell this was going to be a much more comfortable experience. First of all, he was extremely up front and honest with me about his approach to dentistry and how he likes to cultivate his relationships with his patients on a foundation of trust. It seemed like he really understood my anxiety towards the whole dentist to patient relationship and did a great job putting those fears to rest. At the end of the apt. Dr. G concluded that there was a grand total of one tooth that he recommended fixing (the sensitive one that started this whole process) in addition to a couple miscellaneous brushing and flossing tips for the future. I returned back to Dr. G a few weeks later to have the cavity filled, which ended up being the result of a deteriorating filling I received back in my childhood and something Dr. G categorized as 'unavoidable' given the material used in the filling. Throughout both visits Dr. G's professionalism, attention to detail and overall care to his patients was beyond evident. I left the experience feeling like I had made a friend more than finally finding a great Seattle dentist, a quality I feel everyone looks for when seeking out a trusted health provider.
All in all, Dr. G is a fantastic dentist who is passionate about his craft and someone I have and will continue to recommend my friends and family to in Seattle.

I am normally reluctant to go to the dentist but I had a great experience at Brooklyn Ave Dental. The staff was professional and I really trusted the advice Dr. G gave me. They worked with me to create a treatment plan and I couldn't be happier. I would recommend this office to anyone looking for a dentist.
