Angela Spencer, M.A. Clinical Psychology

Mental Health Practitioner, Counselor, Pain Management and Weight Loss Coach, Couples Counseling, Group Therapy. Depression, Anxiety, and PTSD specialist.

I support children and adults in reducing symptoms related to: Depression, Anxiety, Trauma, and Substance Abuse that sometimes feel unbearable to live with.

For example, treatment plans might surround topics like: getting off an antidepressant medication, stopping a self sabotaging behavior, or losing weight. I make a treatment plan for you based off your want to achieve that goal and find the emotional aspects involved, and you are then coached and supported to accomplishing your goal and processing the change fully.

I also provide existentially framed psychotherapy and work with aspects of the unconscious, the shadow self, and dreams in therapy sessions-which is different from coaching or counseling, as it takes on a more emotional and symbolic uncovering of the root causes of where you are getting stuck or suffering.

Groups that are forming and available to join surround the topics of:
Chronic Pain and Medical Disabilities
Substance Use Harm Reduction
Women's Group
Post-traumatic Stress Disorder

If you would like a psychological assessment for diagnostic purposes for insurance or funding, I will be available while working under supervision finishing PhD requirements needed to perform the battery of testing. Specializations in diagnosis include: Childhood Developmental Disorders, Autism, IQ Testing, Reading & Mathematics Disorders, ADHD, Mood and Personality Disorders, Addiction and Substance Abuse, all DSM-IV.
