31 pilgrims from age 8-92 walked and bused from St John to St James on Saturday stopping at 7 churches along the way and praying two Stations of the Cross in each church. It was a wonderful experience for everyone. We met new people, saw new churches and got some spiritual and physical exercise.

The 10:30 am Palm Sunday Mass will start in Egan Hall at 10:15 and process over to the church. Join us on this beautiful day!

Youth Group is making progress on their awesome auction project. The kids got together to paint it and get it ready for the big night. Get your tickets to the auction on April 28th for a chance to bid on this great project and other wonderful items.

On Sunday the Confirmandi made 573 sandwiches for St Martin de Porres Shelter!

On Saturday, April 8, 2017, the day before Palm Sunday, there will be a mini-pilgrimage in Seattle based loosely on the Camino de Santiago. We will walk and take Metro through seven Catholic churches, ending at St. James Cathedral. We will pray two stations at each church. Since our ending point is also a St. James Cathedral, we’re borrowing the name and calling our mini-pilgrimage the Seattle Camino de Santiago.

Everyone is invited to join us for part or all of this small pilgrimage.

[03/14/17]   Statement by Archbishop Peter Sartain and Auxiliary Bishop Eusebio Elizondo on vandalism at Temple De Hirsch Sinai:

On behalf of the Catholic community in the Archdiocese of Seattle, we express deep sorrow and solidarity with our Jewish brothers and sisters following the vandalism of Temple De Hirsch Sinai this past weekend. Our community stands with our neighbors who have been subjected to such a senseless and hateful crime. Sadly, this local attack is among several recent anti-Semitic actions in the United States. Such crimes must be rejected because they threaten to divide people of faith and undermine liberty for all. In solidarity with the Jewish community – “our elder brothers in the faith of Abraham” – we look forward in hope to the day when the darkness of religious hatred will be transformed by the light of our loving God.

Join us for Bishop Barron's Pivotal Players video on GK Chesterton with special guest speaker Dale Ahlquist on Thursday, March 23rd at 7pm in Egan Hall. Dale Ahlquist is the President of the American Chesterton Society and "wrote the book" on Chesterton. No cost, donations welcomed, bring a friend :-)
