Balintawak Seattle

Balintawak Seattle - Filipino Martial Arts Organization.

This Filipino Martial Arts Group specializes in Balintawak style eskrima as it's base art. It follows the Cuentada System and is an affiliate of the International Balintawak Organization, headed by Grandmaster Bobby Taboada. The main training group meets at the Filipino Community Center in Seattle. Additional training groups are located in Bellevue (Factoria) and Covington. We also have affiliates, Puget Sound Eskima in Lake City and FMS Alliance, in Spokane, WA.

Always a pleasure to see you Datu Kelly Worden. Thanks for introducing me to Paul at Vulcan Knife and giving a tour of the facility. Lots of sharp, shiny stuff!

[08/21/17]   West Coast Camp 2017 is now in the books. Thank you to all of our Balintawak family who participated and supported the event. Congrats to those that tested - well done. Mike Griffin, our newest FQI - congrats. You are an outstanding teacher and an excellent example of the character of an FQI. Guro Patrick Schmitt & Guro Jeff Soriano, you guys are awesome. True leaders - your energy, insight, and enthusiasm are tremendous. Last but not least, special acknowledgement of our teacher/mentor/most handsome/Doctor of Stickology - GM Bobby Taboada. Thank you for your leadership, inspiration, guidance and support - but most of all your friendship!

Fall T's are on the way...

Balintawak Invasion

In two weeks,Filipino Martial Arts will once again take over Washington DC, Virginia, and Maryland. BAI, an event you won't want to miss. Everyone get your cameras ready!!!

[06/12/17]   Congrats to Josh Thomas Farham. Josh is teaching the Balintawak Cuentada classes at the Bothell Martial Arts Academy and Kung Fu Northwest in Marysville, Washington. It's only fitting that Josh takes over the Bothell class, he was was part of the original group when we first introduced Balintawak in Bothell. Josh achieved his Completion of the Art in 2013 and has been an important contributor to the growth of the Balintawak Seattle organization since that time. The Bothell and Marysville groups are very lucky to have Josh - we look forward to more get-togethers with all the groups!
