Little Pilgrim School

60 years in West Seattle

Little Pilgrim School, founded by Fauntleroy Church in 1952, will be celebrating its 59th year of providing a Christian environment for the growth and development of children 2 to 5 years old. Little Pilgrim School's philosophy and purpose is to teach the whole child - to help them grow not only intellectually but also spiritually, creatively, and emotionally. The school operates with a capacity of 82 students.

Kitchen Science! This week we had mixers, builders, skaters, predictors, painters and sorters! Lots of science to explore! We had fun with an eggs-periment and made some salt crystals to check on over these next few weeks!😊

Our fish release was so fun despite a few showers in the morning and we did have fair weather in the afternoon! We released over 40 salmon into Fauntleroy Creek! Then it was back to school for a picnic snack and time on the playground~ Thank you to Judy Pickens, Denny and Pete for being our salmon docents! Thank you to Amie Henson, Liz Linville, Bethany Martinell, Jen Wheatley, Sarah Jean Tito and Nicole Runner for being our classroom volunteers! Let us send good wishes to our baby salmon for a safe journey! 😊

[05/15/17]   Room 2's Fish Release is tomorrow, Tuesday, May 16, for morning and afternoon classes. In the morning we will be leaving about 9:20 and about 1: 00 in the afternoon. Please be prompt in dropping off children. We will be walking to the small bridge on Fauntleroy Creek ( 15 minute walk) to release our fry, then back to school for a potty break, library time, a picnic snack, and time to play in the gym or outside depending on our weather.
Please dress for the weather.. the forecast says rain! So boots and a raincoat would be great! Thank you to our volunteers in advance! See you tomorrow!πŸ˜Šβ˜€οΈ?

The 2s were very busy last week!

Reading with Rover program is a special treat! Thanks to Tamar for bringing Emma and Tracy for bringing Isla so we could read a story with them and learn how to greet a dog. Thank you for visiting LPS!🐢😊
