At Wayward Coffeehouse, we stand AGAINST racism, bigotry, misogyny, transphobia, homophobia, ethnocentrism, and religious intolerance. We are appalled by the statements and actions of the person currently occupying the office of President of the United States that give both tacit and blatant support to people who advocate the vile notions of white supremacy, racism, religious intolerance, and fascism.
Wayward Coffeehouse has always been and will continue to be an inclusive and diverse community. We are a coffee haven for geeks, but not only for geeks, we are a haven for all that come to Wayward knowing that we are a safe and welcoming space for them.

We are so sad to see another local business cease operations in our neighborhood. Our businesses share many customers and we were so delighted to have Weaving Works close by when they moved to Roosevelt from the U-District. The Seattle NorthEnd Knitters who meet weekly at Wayward Coffeehouse Roosevelt will especially miss The Weaving Works. But we are impressed with the grace they showed about the circumstances that have forced the closure of their retail location. Small businesses throughout Seattle do face increasing challenges that make it difficult to remain viable. We at Wayward will miss them, and wish them all the best as they move on to other endeavors. We are hopeful that Weaving Works and their amazing staff will remain a presence in fiber arts through their online operations.
seattletimes.com The Weaving Works, a fiber arts store that was a fixture in the University District for four decades before moving three years ago to its current Roosevelt neighborhood location, will be closing at the end of July.
