You're about to start seeing advertisements on TV (such as the one below) stating that wealthy private jet owners are opposing "ATC modernization" so that they can get priority handling by ATC and avoid flight delays while sipping scotch in their rich Corinthian leather seats. We have no idea whether that's true, but we do know that ATC Privatization - sponsored primarily by the major airlines - will give them more control over ATC operations and lower their (the airlines') costs at the cost of raising it for those of us in GA. While it's true that private jet owners will have to pony up to an extent, the rest of us will likely find this price hike too large a financial burden to bear. If you haven’t done so already, we urge you to make your voice heard against the upcoming vote to privatize ATC.
