Thousands of Seattlites have learned to cook at Cook's World in the past 23 years. We offer a wide variety of classes for interested home cooks and those interested in pursuing a professional career. We have series classes for beginning and intermediate levels, classes in knife skills to sharpen your technique, and numerous classes focusing on many ethnic styles. [11/16/13]   I have so enjoyed every class and have learned so much about cooking and making it more enjoyable and rewarding. I have always been the cook in my family and enjoy making meals for my loved ones – but it does take a lot of time – planning, shopping, prep, clean-up. Your classes have helped me be more efficient and enjoy it even more. I think about you and the class when I use my new kitchen tools – they also remind me of the skills that go with them. Last year, I cooked for my extended family (nieces, nephews, Mom, Sister) quite frequently as a way to bring the family together as my sister underwent a stem-cell transplant and nearly lost her life. She is now in remission and attended the herb class with me a few months ago. It meant so much to me to share that time and the class with her. There is much to celebrate, but I know that when things get tough, there is nothing like a good meal to bring people together when they might otherwise withdraw into their own world and struggles. I just wanted you to know how much the classes meant to me. Judy P.

Congratulations to Hana who created cooking Confidence for herself by completing the Basics of Cooking series.She now happily shares the cooking with her husband (who was the primary cook before) and delights in her job at the PCC deli utilizing the skills she learned here!

Fresh from our herb garden SAGE and local asparagus will be the 'stars' of the sauce for the Butternut squash-filled homemade raviolis from our handmade Pasta Workshop...and of course the supporting 'cast' of prosciutto ham, garlic & shallots will add that special 'finishing touch' flavor!
