Client Testimonials:

"Acupuncture treatment provided amazing results for plantar fasciitis pain. I am 42 and have never had acupuncture. I was experiencing debilitating pain in both feet due to plantar fasciitis triggered by a long walk downtown in flat shoes. After several months of trying to ease up on activity, it did not go away and I wanted to get it resolved quickly to get back to golf, hiking, skiing and walking. My personal trainer referred me to Keri Shaw for acupuncture. Keri explained how the treatment works and spent a lot of time making sure I was comfortable and understood the process. After about a dozen weekly treatments, the pain was completely eliminated in one foot and the other foot is only slightly sore during activity and is almost completely resolved. Not only was the pain resolved, but she also activated some points for stress relief. I found that the stress relief I experienced from acupuncture was much greater and lasted longer than from massage. Keri has a sweet studio on Westlake. She's very professional and very effective. Highly recommended!" - Becky B.

"I recently moved from Los Angeles to Seattle. Los Angeles has a plastic surgeon and acupuncturist at every corner. I thought finding one in Seattle would be easy too, until I did a yelp search for one near my area and didn't have much luck. I just happen to be very lucky to have the best acupuncturist I have been to near my work: Blue Pearl. I have had chronic shoulder pain for a number of years, and went to acupuncture to help with pain management. I must admit, I used to think I needed to go an old Chinese lady to get authentic acupuncture. I used to go to one in LA, and she made me come 2-3 times a week for 8 weeks. My pain was still there. I went to another one at UCLA that combined Eastern and Western medicine, and my pain was still there.
Once I moved to Seattle, my shoulder hurt so much I was practically in tears each night. I made an "emergency" appointment on a Saturday by asking Keri to squeeze me in on the same day. She was awesome and was very empathic to my pain and got me in at the end of her day. I actually made the phone call for the appointment in a local store, and the sales clerk overheard me. She sees Keri too and gushed about how great she was. I already felt I was in good hands.
Keri is not an old Chinese lady. In fact she is not old, or Chinese- but she has been the best acupuncturist I have had. I knew from the start that she would be good when she asked me a lot of questions to understand why I was having the pain. She also just wanted to get to know me as a person. In other words, she has very good bedside manners. Unlike my other acupuncturists, she told me she didn't want to see me often. If she did she wasn't doing her job. She actually has been the only person who has been able to stop my pain and she did so in such a short amount of time. I have been able to do all my sports again and sit at work without cringing. I actually go visit her now just for a tune up and also just to see her.
I have told her she is my acupuncturist and therapist.

Lastly, a bonus of seeing her has been that I can go straight from work without dropping my dog off at home. Even though she has a beautiful and clean office, she allows me to bring my dog with me in my session. She is pet friendly!

If you ever were scared or weren't sure what acupuncture is about, I think she Keri is the perfect person to start with because she is gentle and explains everything. If you are a pro, and have gone to an acupuncturist for a while, I honestly think she may be the best.

**Wait there's another bonus. Free parking after 4 pm (I believe) and plenty of it too!" Elaine Y.

"Keri Shaw with Blue Pearl Acupuncture is amazing! She is very thorough and explains everything about your treatment. This was my first experience with Traditional Chinese Medicine. I decided to try acupuncture because I was living with constant muscular pain (averaging 6-7 on the pain scale). After my first treatment the pain had decreased 90%. Following the treatment my body was able to relax. That evening I went through my normal stretching routine and was amazed by the pliability of the muscles. Joints that had been restricted for twenty years were now opening!

The next week I went in for a Chinese Medicine consultation. Keri and I had an in depth conversation about my symptoms, I was not able to eat and digest my food. After she checked my tongue and pulse she explained that I have a Spleen Qi deficiency with damp heat. The Spleen Qi turns food into usable units of energy and blood. She made my Chinese medicine from scratch and prescribed drinking it as a tea twice a day. Six year prior this problem started. I went to multiple doctors, specialist, naturopaths and nothing helped. I had lost hope of ever having a "normal" life until I met Keri. She has helped me reclaim my life and I can eat again! I have since recommended her to everyone that crosses my path.

Just the other day, I went into see Keri for a follow up and I was experiencing a severe headache and nausea. She put four acupuncture needles in for about 15 minutes and my symptoms were gone! I have never experienced anything this effective. No matter what state your body is in Keri Shaw at Blue Pearl Acupuncture can help!" - Sara Jo S.
