Alex Rivera on vocals was raised during the New York Salsa era. A street style sonero with a respect for the traditional roots of the music. Alex has performed with many local Salsa bands including: Latin Expression, Nueva Era, and Kiki Valera Y los Guajibaros and has been featured on numerous recordings. Along with Steve Guasch an accomplished musical director and grammy nominated producer. SabroSon is guaranteed to please even the most finicky Salsa fan.

This is an evening to recall the musical collaboration of the amazing songwriting and powerful voices of Roberta Flack and Donny Hathaway (1945-1979), who recorded a duet album entitled "Roberta Flack & Donny Hathaway" in 1972. The beautifully supple, expressive voices and harmonies of these two friends garnered the success of such songs "Where Is The Love," "Be Real Black For Me," and their rendition of James Taylor's song, "You've Got A Friend."

The Piano Starts Here series highlights the work of some of the most prolific and talented composers and pianists to have ever tackled the instrument. Each of the performances brings together Seattle’s finest pianists to perform the works of the artist selected for that evening on the Royal Room's Steinway B grand piano. Musicians include Ray Skjelbred, Michael Owcharuk and Alex Guilbert.

Come on down to Columbia City this Thursday for Mi Casa es Tu Casa: Music, Food & Dance for a Great Cause! This is a benefit for the Seattle/King County Coalition on Homelessness and will feature EntreMundos Quarteto and Todo Es.
EntreMundos Quarteto is an electrifying Seattle-based band who bring to the stage an uplifting and kinetic mix of deep Brazilian roots flavored with world rhythms—a deft blending of funk, jazz and soul melding with the classic sounds of samba and bossa nova.
The influences of Todo Es range from the Latin Jazz of Cal Tjader and Charlie Byrd to Brazilian Samba and Bossa Nova, interpreted through unique instrumentation. A large repertoire of original material combines Afro-Cuban, Caribbean and Brazilian sounds with contemporary improvisation.

CEOs Inc: From the powerful spinx ashes, like warriors without borders. They started "Citizens on patrol" but soon decided they were executives, through and through. Pull out of the air a group of silence, Tuerk, cry, fragments, tears of the purest of emotions.
Wind Swept Planes: One person's attempt to express the ineffable. Acid drenched fever dreams and aural incantations.
