Help us welcome The Elnah Jordan Experience at The Royal Room on Saturday, September 30th. The well seasoned performer and vocalist commenced her career in the streets of San Francisco. Her transition from a street performer to the clubs was expeditious to say the least. San Francisco loved her and rewarded her with a nomination and placement as 1983 Jazz Vocalist of the year.

I'm the One: The Music of Annette Peacock at The Royal Room in Seattle, WA on Tues Sept 19 at 7:30 pm - Seattle Music Events Calendar - The Stranger

The Stranger says you should be here tonight!!

thestranger.com Annette Peacock is a genius songwriter/singer/synth player who’s barely tickled the consciousness of the masses. In a just world, her bold, confessional lyrics, avant-jazz-rock song structures, and wildly inventive synthesizer forays would be as well-known as Joni Mitchell’s work. Turning down an of...

We will catch you next Wednesday, the 27th as we welcome The Ladybugs in from NYC! Lead by Martina DaSilva, their
unique instrumentation of two lead singers (both doubling in percussion & ukulele), two trombone players, guitar, and bass allows for a lush sound that uplifts and attracts all audiences. The band has received high praise for recent performances at the Kennedy Center, Jazz At Lincoln Center, the NY Hot Jazz Festival, the NYC Winter Jazzfest, and the Catskill Jazz Factory. With an uplifting sound that attracts all audiences, The Ladybugs effortlessly keep listeners smiling and moving.

Tonight we host I'm the One: The Music of Annette Peacock. Annette Peacock has slipped under the radar throughout her near 50 year career as a composer, vocalist, keyboardist and pioneer of vocal processing with analogue synths. Her music embodies a rich combination of 70's psychedelia, R&B, funk, free-form spoken word songs and avant garde jazz. Having worked extensively with the likes of Paul Bley, Gary Peacock, Bill Bruford, Albert Ayler, Robert Moog, Paul Motion and many more, it comes as a surprise that Peacock's music remains an obscure goldmine for avid jazz aficionados.
