Our fourth grade class just recently finished their wild animal projects! The students chose an animal and had to research their characteristics, their diet and any other interesting facts. The students then wrote a paper on "A day in the life" of their animal, as well as a painting and 3-D representation of the animal. Check out the fruits of their hard work!
"The shelters on display arose from our study of shelters around the world. Traditional shelters are fascinating in how they have perfectly adapted to their environment and have made excellent use of natural materials available. Each our of 16 students designed and constructed a shelter of his or her choice, and wrote a short composition based on research of the culture, lifestyle, environment, and the dwelling. Most of the shelters on display are traditional shelters from different countries and climates from the Arctic to the South Pacific."
