Great piece by Janelle Rothfolk, CCS Division Director, on the importance of the HEN program to adults with disabilities and the many fantastic landlords who make this program a success!
A moving Op-Ed on the impact and need for the Housing and Essential Needs (HEN) Program. Thank you to our partner Catholic Community Services of Western Washington for this reminder of the importance of this program.

Children, Youth & Families deserve a state cabinet level department to focus on their needs - Take Action Today!
Establishing the Department of Children, Youth and Families will help guarantee:
1. There are state agency benchmarks focused on improving services and outcomes for children, youth and families.
2. Child outcomes are linked to the well-being of their families and communities.
3. There are core commitments to early learning and racial equity.
HB 1661 would create the Department of Children, Youth and Families. The House proposed operating budget funds the new Department. The Senate proposed operating budget does not. We want to let our Representatives know that we support the bill and funding for the new Department. We want to let our Senators know that they should support the bill and fund the new Department.
