Pensione Nichols is a unique Seattle bed and breakfast with a stunning view — you’ll witness breathtaking sunsets over Elliott Bay and the Olympic Mountains. Ideally situated in downtown Seattle’s historic Pike Place Market, Pensione Nichols reflects European sense and sensibility married to Pacific Northwest heritage and hospitality.

Accommodations include two spacious 900 sq. ft. suites, with kitchens and baths, and ten cozy guestrooms, with shared baths.

The Pensione is 100% full with U2 fans....
Every single fan comes from a different part of the world with at least one common love, U2. This has never happened before and it sure makes for interesting conversation at breakfast.

Outstanding location! Lindsey Nichols is a terrific proprietor, exceptionally friendly and helpful. Accommodations were enjoyably eclectic, comfortable and cozy. The bathrooms had as much personality as the rest of the lodging; they were shared, but there were plenty of them. Morning coffee was delicious... upholding Seattle's reputation. Parking was very convenient and VERY reasonable for downtown (don't forget to pick up your discount card before you head back to the garage). If you must have an elevator, a bell boy, room service, a pool, etc. go somewhere else. If you want to make new friends from around the world, all enjoying a fabulous view of Puget Sound, be there for breakfast (fruit, rolls and coffee) served by Lindsey

These are the Chuang brothers from Taiwan. Ten years ago, the brother on the right had terminal bone cancer and his greatest wish was to meet Ichiro so 'Make a Wish' brought him to Seattle to make that happen.
Ten years later, he is cancer free and here to watch his hero play baseball again....❤️

"A hidden gem!”

I can't say enough good things about this B&B. A friend and I stayed here while in town for a conference, and it was such a nice retreat. The antique decor is unique and beautiful, the resident dogs are adorable, and the bathrooms are clean and spacious. The rooms are simple, but clean and comfortable. There are three highlights:
1. The gorgeous views of the water and Pike Place from a breezy balcony
2. The decadent breakfast served in the common room
3. The staff. Lindsey was helpful and accommodating start to finish. Because we were traveling for business, we had some unusual requests for check-in/out and receipts. Lindsey was happy to accommodate these, and eager to make sure our stay was excellent
All in all, it was one of the best business travel experiences I've had. I'd love to stay here again on a vacation or couples trip the next time I am in Seattle.

Spring Did Come.....

Spring did come,
On butterfly's wings.
On a flitting bird,
And the song it sings.

Spring did come,
When the flowers bloomed,
When it filled the air
With a sweet perfume.

Spring did come,
On the morning's breeze.
Spring did come,
On budding leaves.

Spring did come,
On blades of dew.
Spring did come,
In skies of blue.

Spring did come,
With a joyous ring.

Spring did come...

Welcome, Spring!
