My dear friend Sam has a wonderful project where she is collecting stories of living with less and pairing them with artists to illustrate their stories. I plan on writing one from my experience of traveling around the u.s. by bike in 2011-2012. I don't consider myself a writer please don't let that stop you either. If you are more drawn to making art for someone's story contact sam and be apart of this wonderful project!
We are looking for stories that show ways to live with less to help adjust people's perceptions of need! Do you have an experience to share? Write it, record it, draw it...send submissions to email@example.com by 3/20! Not a professional writer? No worries its all about the story!

Hello Community! A few months back i set some pretty exciting goals and my deadline is fast approaching. I would love your support completing them. One of my lessons during my big goal challenge was being attached to how my goals looked which postponed them happening and blocked me from seeing other opportunity for them to be created. After brainstorming with a friend I decided to combine two of them and put the word out to my community. Here they are.
1.Host a monthly dinner party for at least 5 people each month. Select a meaningful topic to create open, vulnerable, connection.
2.Run sliding scale reoccuring cooking classes every other month with a target of at least two classes at a community center with a partnering chef to impact at least 20 people or more in each class.
How about both, hosted at my home?!
Who would like to learn how to create a healthy, balanced meal for very little cost?
Do you know how to sear a salmon fillet? Make pesto? Know the importance of soaking your grains? Want to sharpen up your knife skills and whip up incredible salad dressings in a breeze?
These are all things I can teach as well as hearty vegan plant based staples and alot more. We will talk openly about what your roadblocks are in your diet and how to support you including healthier choices into your week.
I will provide kitchen basics and will ask each of you to bring one item to the cooking class. We will all contribute to the meal in some way. Once I receive who will be coming via email (send to firstname.lastname@example.org) I will reach out to all of you for what to bring.
In your email please include the following
1.Your name and guests name,
2.What you find your greatest challenge in the kitchen(time, lack of space, confidence, breaking down the importance of ingredients in a recipe, flavor, knife skills ect..)
3. Availability next week in the evenings

A hero of mine speaks on our loneliness epidemic and how social media is changing the way we interact. This topic is very close to my heart as I strive to be a loving connected individual and feel the isolation of western city life often. Community is always waiting, seek it out, ask for it , create it and invite it into the warmth of your heart.
