Wallingford United Methodist Church

An Open & Affirming/Reconciling Congregation for 30 Years!

There is a place for everyone at WUMC! Join us for worship Sunday mornings at 8:30 and 11:00 A.M.

As a people of God engaged in a spiritual journey and bound by a common hope, we at Wallingford United Methodist Church stand in the stream of the Christian Faith, witnessing to our experience of God’s grace, which we have seen in Jesus Christ.

* We believe in a creating God, in the goodness of all God’s creation, and in the sacred worth of every person.

* We follow a living Christ, who reveals the love of God to us and shows us what it means to be fully human.

* We trust the Holy Spirit, who courts us to stand in right relationship with God, assures us of God’s presence with us, and works in us to bring God’s purposes to birth.

This Friday (5/19), Nikki Nichols invites you to the opening of her photography exhibit "Coming Together: People of the World." Nikki's show features photos from her 70 years on the planet, and invites us into her values, like welcoming the stranger and seeing the beauty in all cultures and languages. The opening goes from 6:00PM-8:00PM this Friday, and all are welcome. Contact Nikki at nikkinichols@msn.com with questions.

The Purple Group meets tomorrow (5/17) at 6:00PM at Nancy Speer's home. This group is a place to talk about aging, mortality, and/or caring for aging loved ones. All are welcome, and a light supper will be served. Email Nancy at nancyspeer@comcast.net if you need more info.

Check out info on the Our Bible App and sign up to be notified when the app launches in June at the link. (The logo below means that this app is "for believers of all stripes"!)

Join us at WUMC this weekend! Tomorrow (Saturday, 5/13), we're hosting a drop-in Spring Work Party from 9:00-4:00 at the church. Folks of all ages are invited to come help us work in the garden, clean up in the church, and beautify and clean our space.

Then on Sunday (5/14) in worship, the Border Delegation that visited El Paso and Juarez earlier this year will report on all that they experienced on that trip. This promises to be a wonderful morning of stories and hope, so come join us for worship at 10:00!
