Teaching since 1995, Dawn Jansen breaks down movement concepts with straightforward simplicity and works with students of all levels. She offers alignment based classes with individual instruction, and humor. Dawn is dedicated to sharing her years of experience and provides a variety of yoga sessions at studios, schools, farms and community events to all walks of life from adults to young people.

Can You Really Roll Those Aches And Knots Away?

We all love to roll! Foam rollers — and related tools— are meant to mimic some of the effects of massage therapy by targeting tight, stiff muscles.

npr.org Scientists say you'll get better range of motion and less post-workout pain when using foam rollers to loosen tight muscles. But the details aren't all smoothed out.

Excellent Saturday morning Yoga practice with Trinity and Layla at Experience Momentum. We worked with the wall to find stability in our standing leg and hip in half moon pose. This strong dynamic duo went on to practice full arm balance. Nice job you two!

Hi Seattle, I am teaching some fun and definitely different outdoor yoga classes at Myrtle Edwards Park, just over the Queen Anne Thomas St Overpass, for the rest of the summer!

Move, stretch and relax in a one hour class format overlooking the Olympics, Elliott Bay and Mount Rainer. Designed with fun in mind, all ages, levels and fitness backgrounds are welcome.
