A half a dozen of us spent the morning at Healing Reins with three beautiful horses! By tapping into the intuitive nature of these horses in an interactive exercise we tried to better understand who were are as a church and community. It was a fascinating experience! Dee and her team of licensed professionals are trained to help others find new avenues of personal growth, healing and relationship enhancement. The goal of our exercise was to get the three horses into a coral. (The metaphor being our attempts at welcoming our Ballard neighbors into our church). The horses were big, unpredictable and a bit frightening. We tried many good ideas but none worked. During the debrief Dee said it was 11-year old girls who were the most successful at this exercise, because they would just run up to the horses, hug and smother them with unconditional love. What a lesson. Amen!
Fun potluck last night - thanks for hosting Signa!
Team David and Ally - nicely done children's lesson!
Ok, so money is the root of all evil, but the NPC team did clean up at trivia tonight. Perhaps a bump in the collection plate on Sunday? Thanks to The Dane for being such a great addition to the neighborhood.
Congratulations Elise Elma Eisele and to your Dad and Mom on your beautiful baptism!
Pastor Dani and our intern David were unequivocal on what they said on Sunday; we will call out racism and hate and those evils have nothing to do with the gospel of Jesus. They spoke of justice and of love. That is what will light the darkness.
Go NPC!! Thanks for arranging all the fun Ally!
Happy 50th Anniversary to Gary and Nancy Ingle! Thanks Michael and Pat O'Hearn for the beautiful rendition of Amazing Grace. What a wonderful anniversary gift.
Poignant tribute to Sylvia King as she move to Kirkland. We will miss you Sylvia!
