Let's build the preschool! Here is our latest flyer for the preschool which can be put on church bulletin boards, at coffee shops, and at MOPS (and other mom's groups') meetings.
Either print this one off, or get a shiny new one at the school front desk and hand them out! Let's get excited about building up our school!
With your help, we can hit 140 students next year and make it a great year!
[04/21/17] Whew! The new, improved website is finally up. Took almost all week, but I think you'll like it. Check it out! Maybe you are in it!
Pastor Joe and his wife Amy, and Pastor Sue recently made the announcements that they are stepping down as pastors to the church and our staff (please read Pastor Joe's letter below). We are saddened at the idea that we will be losing such a devoted supporter of the school, let alone spiritual leaders that many of us have come to love and appreciate.
What does this mean for the school? Other than missing our friends and mentors, not much will change. The Foursquare denomination will be providing an interim as they seek a new long term pastor for the church. We will continue on in much the same way as we have up to now. Once the new pastor is hired, we will introduce them to the staff and students with a warm Shorewood welcome.
Someone once said "change is the only constant in life." But with change can come new, fresh perspectives. May God lead us into this new season with enthusiasm.
Melanie and her team have done wonders preparing for the auction tonight! All we need now is you!
Be practicing today with your left arm lifts to put those bid numbers high...if you're really talented, practice with your right arm too! Outbidding Mrs. George just might take ambidexterity!!
I was driving around Shorewood area the other day with my wife looking for houses, and I saw my first Shorewood Christian sign by the road! It's a great way to get the word out to neighbors and passers by, alike! And good news: there are still more in the office. Come and get yours today! You too can be a proud Shorewood Christian supporter!
Shorewood Soars at Knowledge Bowl!
Shorewood sent teams for 5th/6th grade and 7th/8th grade to the Knowledge Bowl yesterday at Concordia Christian School in Tacoma. Both teams worked hard, and major congratulations to the 5th/6th grade team, who won the Bronze trophy for third place!
